So if it's listed on this website it will be quiet? http://www.diefer.de/i8kfan/
But warranty is void then, no?
Is there anything that will run okay & you keep the warranty?

Well, I looked at T400/T500 & they seem interesting, but they are quite expensive here in Slovenia!
(& I'm not even sure if they are the same model/as environmentally friendly as the main website says..)

Hi! That's interesting... Glad you found something that works well for you! :)

Do you use it together with a silent external HD? (& which one? :))

So did anyone get any laptop recently that you would recommend? :)

Is it true that dual core would be the quietest, or are Core2duo equally (or more?) quiet..?

Thanks! :)

There's a thread about this Dell a bit below, in case you missed it... http://www.silentpcreview.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=49348 I know there was a review with comments discussing using the Asus EEE for this sort of thing at the Ananda review site, but people said it wouldn't be strong enough or so...

PC or laptop/mini box/... for graphics-intensive use, in EU?

... at an affordable price? (hopefully under 1000$/EUR?) Any suggestions? Apparently the current rage are the 'Mini Mac lookalike' options, but most like Asus EE or the pretty linux one seem not powerful enough to run graphics-intensive or video-editing programmes on...? Acer Mini & 'the real' Mac M...

Has anyone got one of these "fanless mini-itx"?

I wonder if they overheat or if they work well..? would they work for graphics-intensive programmes too?

Hmm... I could still (after some looking!) see that page http://www.anitec.ca/pages/spcr/spcr.aspx & was wondering about this, if they are still offering that model etc.-? I could find http://www.endpcnoise.com/ online & they seem to be still working - maybe they ship to Canada too? their computers ...

I was thrilled with this one initially too (great review, SPCR!), so I took a look... the EEE mini box is apparently now in Europe already too.. at least in UK, if not in my country yet... :) http://forum.eeeuser.com/viewtopic.php?id=40467&p=2 in this thread a user says danMdan wrote: It runs quiet ...

I just looked at the VeryPC 'Mac lookalike' :) - & there is the option of adding a TV tuner card - not sure if you have to take theirs or can install your own? no idea about the graphic card though... I'm curious about a computer with a good graphic card too, or is there an option to add an external...

Pretty! & that seems very small usage indeed.... 512/60 GB does seem a bit little, yeah... - & fanless? does it not overheat? :) I wish programs started to get smaller instead of bigger too!! :) But it's great to see so many small & energy-efficient computers offered... They seem to be sold in Norwa...

Interesting! :) Has anyone tried these? How quiet is it? & what does it mean '1x Firewire (Not Functional)' ? :) I take it (from a review) you can add what you need, either PCI or FireWire...? (just one?) also interested in graphic card & soundcard used... Is this kinda like Mini Mac, but for PC Use...

4GB/320GB memory... WOW... & the price is awesome for these kind of specs...

I thought AMD processors were loud as opposed to Intel/...?

Can you tell us more about this? :) would love to see a more detailed review... :)
