As you say none of those are slim line. The Lian Li's are and they will take a full sized GPU on riser see http://www.lian-li.com/v2/en/product/product06.php?pr_index=219&cl_index=1&sc_index=25&ss_index=64&g=f And manage to have dimensions of: 435 x 94 x 378mm (W, H, D) I didn't want to go any highe...

To more clearly explain myself, right now I'm running my HTPC over HDMI and I have to put up with blurred text. As far as I've read, it is bc my Sharp TV doesn't support 1:1 pixel mapping over HDMI On my Toshiba i have the card set to 1920x1080 and it looked truly horrible (even though it's properl...

What version of Windows are you running? Windows XP with the latest 9.1 Catalyst drivers Also, for the record - the VGA input on most TVs won't allow you to display anything of a "proper" resolution. By proper, I mean either something that is native to the TV, or a resolution that would make sense....

For the sake of completeness.... i managed to get this working correctly. Using powerstrip i set the ATI cards output spec to the one stated in the Toshiba manual and the desktop is now full screen. The horrible fonts were solved by playing with the TV's "sharpness" control. After turning this down ...

Problems with HTPC (IGP & HD4670) and Toshiba TV
Hi, I have a HTPC built around a Asus M3A78-EM MB and Powercolor HD4670 graphics card. The Tv is a Toshiba 46RV555DB (UK version) with a 10bit 1080P panel. There are a number of articles on the net, regarding problems with various HDTV's and ATI cards. Using the TV's VGA input things work as expecte...

MiKeLezZ, Please do let us have some power figures as soon as it's up and running. I've been looking along the same lines, but had been considering the 790 chipset on a board like the Asus M3A78-T (which seems to be more power efficient than the 740g) to build a low power HTPC/gaming box. A single G...

Umm ... now you've got me thinking even more ... An Atom with a low wattage chipset sounds like a winner ... The machine needs to be able to run WinServer 2003, as it needs to be a a basic email/web/file server. As it's a mail server, i has to be on 24x7. The current machine is an old Celeron 500meg...
