Thanks.

I don't have the guts to try Nibitor out yet because motherboard that I use only has one PCI-E slot.

I'll look into NVflash for now.

Damnit. I couldn't return the card because it's not considered defective. Since the temperature is very high at 62, I'm willing to risk flashing it, even though I've never done it before. I have a couple of questions concerning it. How high is the risk of flashing? Is it possible to backup the origi...

Ok, I've tried two other WHQL drivers that are the next latest. It still has the same problem. I only use a single monitor. A little searching found this: http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?p=3210131 The user had the same product as me, and he contacted XFX about the problem. They replied sayin...

XFX Geforce 260 GTX not downclocking.

I bought a new graphics card as my first new computer part, and I installed it in my old computer to make sure it worked properly. It runs all the games fine, but I'm worried about the temperature. The GPU clock stayed at 576 Mhz no matter what I do, and because of it, I'm idling at 63C with the cas...

How about sealing the PCI brackets? I really don't get why Antec went through all the trouble of fitting the entire front of the P183 with dust filters, and then use open PCI brackets which allow all the dust to be sucked in. Not even a fraction of the dust sucked in by an unfiltered fan will come ...

Atake Noisebusters?

How good are these acoustic foams for sound absorption? I don't really care about dampening.

The HX 620's fan isn't exactly normal because of it's tiny fan connector. You will either need to do some wiring mods or buy an adaptor.

If you want the actual height requirements of the AC S1, then this will help.

Go here:

http://www.arctic-cooling.com/catalog/p ... 2_&mID=105

Then go to the "Height restriction drawing" link.

Personally, I think it would fit, but it's just a guess.

I have a question about the typical 12cm + Accelero S1 setup. What rpm are most of you using for maximum load?

I don't really know what fan speeds you're using.

So people still connect the fan connector to the PSU.

A question:

If you are using the method of prying out the old 2-pin socket, then sticking the fan connector directly onto the two pins, How do you keep them in place?

Corsair HX 620: Automatic?

As a person who's about to buy a new PC in just a week (finally) I'm currently eyeing the HX 620 as the PSU that I want to buy. The confusion I'm having is the PSU fan socket. I wanted to use the fan socket because I don't want manual fan control, and I also don't want to keep the PSU pegged at a hi...

I'm curious about the vram temperatures. It's always the most overlooked aspect of video card cooling.

What rpm is 60%?

Anyways, thanks for the follow-up.

Another good thing about the Dell mini 9 is that it's 95% OS X compatible.

The other dell netbooks have hardware that OS X doesn't fully support.

So, if you want to keep a 4870 + accelero s1 + 120mmx120mm fan in a 3-slot config, you have to use something thinner than 25mm?

What would be appropriate then?

Just a question about the Accelero S1 + 4870 + 25mm height fan setup. How many slots would that take up? I hope it will fit inside 3 slots comfortably, with a pci card right underneath it, while the fan still has good ventilation. Edit: Sorry, I was referring to the height of the fan. It's 120mmx120...
