Thanks, for the pointers. I had been considering the XP POWER AEF100PS19 which has an efficiency of 93% but is very expensive.

I have just order one of these boards via eBay. Now I'm looking for a suitable brick from the UK.

One question, do you know if input voltage affects the efficiency of the board? Does it make much difference if I use an 18, 19 or 24V brick?

Ninja Mini actual height over MB

Hi, I wonder if anyone can tell me the actual total height of the Ninja Mini from the motherboard PCB to its very top, when fitted over an Intel socket 775? I have this case: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/135497 . Measuring from the board to the inside of the lid is 119mm, is this enough? Thanks, Sim

the board would have to support lower voltages - otherwise you couldn't install the EE and EE/SFF CPUs which use a lower CPUvoltage (hence the lower power rating). The board may support lower voltages, but that doesn't automatically mean they will be accessible in BIOS. A lot of cheap boards suppor...

Re: A few questions...

You say you used the Corsair Twin2X1024-6400C5 and it booted fine on the initial BIOS. I can't find that at Newegg, only the C4 and the regular 6400. Will (should) the 1.9v Twin2X1024-6400 or will I have to find a place that sells the 6400C5? The regular 6400 at Newegg seems to have the 5-5-5-15 ti...

simbloke if wouldn't mind could you post a reply in my "Recommended Motherboards: From a Silence Perspective 1.1" thread for this board?, it's a sticky at the top in the CPU and Motherboards forum here. BIOS fan controls and SpeedFan control are particularly important as are undervoling options, th...

From what I could find out before buying this board Crucial and Corsair seem to be well respected. The Corsair was cheaper so I went with that. Reading other forums it seems many have problems wi...

Hi simbloke did the corsair 6400c boot ok with original bios ? or were there any issues thanks. I've just noticed above I said I got C4 memory, wrong, I was just thinking about that one! What i actually got was the cheaper TWIN2X1024-6400C5. There were no problems with the memory, it worked perfect...

Thanks, simbloke. Do you have an update for us, regarding reliability and stability? So far it's been totally reliable and stable. Oh, I'm running Ubuntu Linux and the NVidia 9625 beta drivers. I now have a Thermalright HR01 fitted. I still have the standard NSK3300 rear fan on slowest speed. The f...

I've only checked the RAM voltage range (1.8-2.5) but I will have a look at the others and report back.

I'm not an overclocker but getting the X2 4200 from 2.2 to 2.4 GHz was no problem.

Why? You have at least 2 (3 pin) fan headers within reach, why don't you use them?
That's what I'm doing now. The BIOS is nice, it can can control the system fan speed based on the CPU temp, I didn't see that at first.

I have the board :D I've not had much time to play with it. Just put it together and installed the OS. I'm using Corsair Twin2X 6400C4 with no problems. The good news is that the DD2 voltage goes from 1.8v to 2.5v! So there should be now problems with those modules that require 2.1v. Nothing other t...

According to abit UK the NF-M2 will be in from Asia in a week or so and at retailers by the end of the month. I suspect that it will be the same across Europe.

Ninja in an NSK3300?

Hi, I'm considering trying to squeeze a Ninja into the Antec NSK3300. As far as I can tell it depends on how close the CPU is to the top side of the motherboard. Can anyone say how far the cpu needs to be away from the edge for the Ninja to not overhang the edge of the board? I am considering 6100/6...

Hi, I got an Antec Solo yesterday and very nice it looks too. The black is very shiny and the silver front panel has a clean simple style. I'm in the UK and got it from here http://www.lambda-tek.com/ for £53 + postage, a good £15+ cheaper than other places, delivered next day. I'm using it for ou...

First impressions of the case

Quite good :) It's all aluminium except the internal tray that the HD & CD sit on. The front panel is quite thick and sturdy but the rest is thinner. It's not up to the built like a tank Coolmaster I have at work but I think it's good enough. There is room above the IO plate to mount more connectors...
