Nice, just received my sample in the mail today. Going to start testing soon but ambient temps are pretty high recently  ------------ Not finished testing yet but so far, the results are...good but inconsistent. With OCZ Freeze on a E6750 @3.2 with a Ninja 2 and a slipstream at 400rpm. Speedfan...

Glad you got it working ntavlas. I'd just like to point out that I've had my fan swapped 450VX in both top and bottom mounted positions. When top-mounted, it was certainly much hotter but any fan ramping could not be heard. I've actually found out that electrical noise has now become a bigger proble...

Scythe S-flex/Slipstream/Kaze

Well, it's that time of year again...the time to get new silent fans because of a stupid decision to try out a pair of non refundable cooler master blue led 120mm fans that are loud...even at 5v, the stock 120 and 140 antec tricools that came with my antec 300 case. I already have a s-flex e and a 1...

Fried Fan PWM?

Well, this is sort of a short question but I was wondering if it was possible to 'burn' out PWM fans. Have an enermax cluster 120mm and I somehow reveresed the +/- leads and shorted it somehow, now, the lights turn on but the fans kaput. Also have a 120mm scythe slipstream that I have a feeling I bu...

+1 for 1600

i put a 1200rpm sflex in my 450vx and its got almost no airflow at all at 4W. Works fine atm since its at the bottom of my case and isnt sucking out the cpu heat although when i scrounge up enough $$, i might get a 1600rpm s-flex with a new hdd

I have a XFX 8600GT XXX. Stock heatsink and fan, I get 60C idle and 90C load. Couldn't stand the fan noise so i removed the the plastic casing and fan and left the heatsink on and reapplied OCZ Freeze. Strapped a cheap 120mm CM Blue Fan on it (yes i know its a horrible fan) using zip ties. If it mak...

Hmm..I thought the 'problem was resolved on the EADS? A SSD and a WD GP would be way outside of my budget atm. I'm also not sure what to do with my Seagate 7200.11 320GB that's currently in my system. Also, theres no 1TB WD Blue currently. And for the Black, how would it be overkill? While I do play...

WD10EADS or WD10EACS

Well, theres quite a few topics on this already so I apologize for starting a new thread but I was wondering which drive I should get. The WD10EADS is $110CAD but the WD10EAVS is $90CAD(The 8mb cache one). I only have this question because of the load/unload problem with the EAVS that may or may not...

I've been using Win7 on a Dell Inspiron 1300 Laptop Celeron M 1.6 OC'd to 2.2 with 915G graphics. Not a bad experience at all but my only complaint is the lack of WDDM drivers for it. Also running it on my desktop and it's been working like a charm except I messed up an install of AVG when the power...

If you just started the pc, let it sit for a while, and yea, it's a bit low still. and see if the temp changes at all or else you have a stuck sensor

Not sure about realtemp but 14C is not possible since its below room temperature, unless your sitting in the arctic, using peltier cooling or liquid nitro. Try getting a reading using speedfan.

Going to pick one up and I'm hoping I don't see the load/unload cycle count skyrocketing. (I'm assuming they fixed this with the EADS right?)

Enermax Cluster...Issues

Got an Enermax Cluster Fan that runs at 1.2krpm @ 12v and 600ish at 5v Had it hooked up at 12v, changed to 5v and then to 7v, when changing the 7v back to 5v recently, I accidentally reversed the wires. Turned on the pc, no response so I switched the wires, light on the fan turns on but the fan does...

Hard Drives: 1 Terabyte Sweet Spot?

I'm currently looking at buying a new hard drive as my current 7200.10 320gb Seagate is full. My choices so far are the WD Greenpower 1TB WD10EADS 32MB, Hitachi Desktar 1TB 7K1000 32MB, Seagate 7200.11 1TB 32MB, Samsung 1TB HD103UJ. Fan control

http://www.diefer.de/i8kfan/ This program works to control fans but only gives you settings for high/lo/off. Their should be settings within the motherboard for setting acoustic profiles (i think). The only problem i've had with the program is that the BIOS sometimes overrides the fan speed you set ...

Re: Had same MOBO

I had the same mother board as you before I upgraded with an E4500. I was able to OC from the stock 2.2GHZ to 2.65GHZ by raising the FSB from 200 to 241 w/o any other adjustments. I was also using cheap crucial rendition RAM. Spent some time fiddling around. Setting the FSB manually to OC doesn't w...

Got this 'mod' so to speak from Alleycat's enclosure. The basic idea behind this is that you are mass damping the hard drive, basically putting up a wall to quiet the hard drive and suppress the noise. Where suspension reduces vibration and seek noise, this reduces more of the other sounds (lower fr...

Got an 8800gs myself, depends on your level of quiet. It isn't a screamer like the 7600 or some 8600gt series of cards but in my opinion, it was a bit too loud for my liking, it was idling at around 44 in my case which has almost no airflow, replaced it with an accelero s1 rev2 and got idle of 55 an...
