Re: HDPLEX H3.SODD Fanless Mini-ITX Media Case

Thanks for the review, great looking system. Any idea how efficient that PSU is compared to the Pico-PSU? Shame about that large bungle of cables, shame they didn't get shorter and sheathed cable-sets. The pics on their website show the drive bays underneath the optical drive, but they don't appear...

Re: HDPLEX H10 Fanless microATX Case

Regarding the comment about the internal mount for the power brick, I actually think that is great for living room HTPCs and count that as an advantage over HFX's designs. For a living room HTPC, I want small, quiet, unobtrusive, stylish, etc. An external power brick would just be one more thing yo...

Re: HDPLEX H10 Fanless microATX Case

Not directly related to the review, but am I the only one who sees an issue with their 80W PSU from this picture? The C14-5PIN molex cable has a ground cable from C14/IEC connector which needs to screw attach to the chassis bottom plate for grounding. The C14 connector will also has rubber wrap to ...

Not to push my products, but http://www.missingremote.com/review/hdp ... ss-chassis.

SPCR should have a review soon for the H10 and H5.S chassis with Sandy bridge system.

hdplex.net which is for network streamers is being closed down and only handle warranty issues.

For chassis, it is hd-plex.com

Will the smaller variants ship with a PSU? Maybe as an option?

That looks pretty good. Why only cool the CPU passively and not the GPU and northbridge though? Especially with your suggestion of having an internal PSU things should overheat really quickly? There will be a northbridge cooler for the final product. Put the brick inside actually doesn't affect the...

Suggestions to this fanless HTPC case?

Hi, I put together a prototype fanless HTPC case using PicoPSU and heatpine/FIN combo as cpu heatsink. (Pardon for the low resolution pictures as this is a prototype) http://173.45.226.53/1.JPG http://173.45.226.53/2.JPG There will be two kinds of faceplate. One for optical drive and the other for H...

I'm using a Dell DA-2 200W brick that I picked up on ebay for about £20. I'm not actually using the Pico-120 as it turned out to be inadequate for my system, so I got an EF-28 200w board instead but the DA-2 worked fine with the Pico-120 when I tested it and that combo has worked fine for others h...

Lacsap :-)
I tested this one both 120w and 150w version.
The 120w has faint coil whine noise while the 150w is silent.
Both generates a lot of heat which is not very good for internal placement.

Would be a 450mm too long for a slim 1u case?

Hi,

Would 450mm(17.8 inch) be too long for a 1u slim case?

If the slim case has CPU passive heatsink(heatpipe attached to the side panel with FIN) , fanless slim PSU and full aluminum body, what would be a reasonable price?

Thanks.
