Re: Attack of the Scythes

I bought 4 of the 1200RPM version, controlled by a Scythe Kaze Q fan controller at the lowest settings, which is around 5v, I still think they're way too loud.
I'm going to replace them by the 800RPM version.

Small cpu cooler for Fractal Design Core 1000

Hi,

I'm looking for a small cpu cooler that must fit in my Fractal Design Core 1000.
Max height is 13.5cm, about 5.3 inches. Cpu is an i5 750 which is now cooled by a nexus r7000.

Looking forward to your suggestions.

Re: Noctua NH-C14 Dual Fan Top-down CPU Cooler

I don't think the Noctua fans are quiet at all. Also I have a feeling this review is just a press release from Noctua.. Too many kind words?

Re: Gigabyte H55N-USB3: The De Facto LGA1156 Mini-ITX Board?

the Nexus Low-7000 fits, although I had to bend it a bit, and it cools great (Even a bit better than the Scythe Big Shuriken). 40 degrees idle while fan runs only 600RPM. It will block your memory slots if you're using memory with high heatspreaders. It also blocks the pci-e slot but can be solved b...

My specs: Processor:i5 750 @ 3,0Ghz 1.04v / 3,6Ghz 1.13v Motherboard:Gigabyte GA-H55N-USB3 Cooling:Intel stock Memory:...

Ever heard of benching?

Also in the review they use ''old'' hardware.
Which means the CPU limits the GPU's power

I can't imagine that your system needs more than HALF that power? I think a 500watt PSU would be more than enough power, and would probably be much quieter, too.
I'm planning to go for quad sli in the future

Hey, I currently have a CoolerMaster M700 Silent , which has a 135mm fan. But the fan or the fans motor started to make a weird noise. I requested RMA and I can choose from the following power supplies: Antec New TruePower SLi 750W (ATX, SLi) Be Quiet Dark Power 750W PRO (ATX, v2,2 , Modulair, BQT P...
