I would probably go with a Gentle Typhoon on your TRUE unless you want to use a PWM fan and use either S-Flex's, Kama Flex's, or Nexus Basic's as case fans. with the dual chamber design of cases like this, you may want to consider using a lower-RPM model on the bottom chamber and something that move...

if you're planning on overclocking your i5 750 you'll probably want to use something like the D1225C12B5AP-15 or the AP-14 on your Megahalem. with a CPU TDP of 95W you would probably be fine with the AP-14, this is completely dependent on your overclock though. I am currently using an AP-15 on my o...

BlackSilentFan XL2 vs. BlackSilentPro PL-2
does anyone know the differences between these two fans? I know that they run at slightly different speeds and that the PL-2 comes with more accessories but, I can't figure out if there are different bearings used in the PL-2. I'm guessing that they must use different bearings since the PL-2's MTBF ...

I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do as far as controller cards go. I wanted to build this server using an old A7N8X-E Deluxe and Athlon XP 3200+. The problem with this being that the motherboard has 1 AGP slot and 5 PCI slots and I can't find a PCI controller card that supports more that 4 drives.

Hi, If you do the math, a 120mm fan has a swept blade area of ~9503 sq mm, and two 92mm fans have a total area of ~10562 sq mm but that doesn't take into account the motor hubs. So, subtract 490 sq mm from the 120mm and 980 from the pair of 92mm, and they get closer: 9023 vs 9582 -- pretty darn clo...

@EsaT wow, thanks for the extremely insightful and informative reply. I've only purchased Antec cases in the past, but I was looking at some Lian Li cases previous to reading and posting on SPCR. as I said in my first post, I'm not going to drive myself crazy trying to make a box like this completel...

server case
I'm looking for a case that would be suitable for 10 to 12 drives. I have seen some recommendations around SPCR for various CM Stacker cases as well as the Antec 1200. I'm not delusional in thinking that I can build a system like this and have it be completely silent, but I would like it to be as qu...
