I'm looking at an Antec Solo now. The built in drive suspension is very enticing, and it should be big enough to handle my setup (1 graphics card, 1 PCI, 3 hard drives, 1 optical drive). Are there any significant noise disadvantages to a solo over a P182? Based on the noise my PSU currently makes po...

1. Buy one of these and just try it. See if it makes a difference. I am certain it will solve your problem. The PSU and CPU cooler are not an issue. They almost never ramp up to audible levels. Right now my main HDD is a WD 640GB Black, with 2 WD 500GB and 1 WD 640 GB as store/backup (all before they did they black/blue/green thing, but I think they'd be considered blue). Everything except the main 640 bl...

Thanks for the review. I'm looking for a 5770 to pickup and was leaning toward the Hawk after reading this review: http://ht4u.net/reviews/2010/msi_radeon_5770_hawk/index11.php (translated: http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=de&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fht4u.net%2Freviews%2F2010%2Fmsi_radeon_...

Recommend me a case (P182? P183?)

Right now I'm running a Phenom II 940 with a Xigmatek S1283 cooler (stock fan), a 790GX ATX motherboard for graphics and a Corsair HX520 PSU in a Thermaltake Tsunami case. Its runs pretty quiet right now when most of the hard drives are idle (not silent though), but part of the reason is I don't hav...

That akasa fan looks nice, but I haven't had any luck finding a US based store that sells them. Are you sure about the 1000-2200 rpm range on the stock fan? I think you're thinking of the Dark Knight's fan. The SPCR review lists it as 670 rpm @ 9V and 1400 rpm @ 12V, and the specs on newegg list it ...

What CPU fan for Xigmatek S1283 & Phenom II 940?

Hi, I have a Phenom II X4 940 BE on the way with a Xigmatek HDT-S1283 to cool it, but I have a feeling the stock fan on the S1283 will be a bit loud for my tastes. I've read that the rubber fan mounts for the S1283 are very hard to remove once they've been installed, so I want to figure out my fan c...
