Re: Anyone built a silent Silverstone FT02 watercooled rig?

I don't have an answer for you, but I see in fact a lot of mods using the magicool 540mm rad. just google "ft02 540 rad". No need then for an additional rad at the top, making for a simpler look.

I also came to SPCR in fact to get an answer to a similar question like you had.

A dba is a measurement to more accurately measure the loudness, db is the log based measurement which isn't what you think. EG 30db is not double the noise of 15...

if you're willing to add an extra centimeter, the lian li pc x500 (tyr series) is a very goodlooking case of 38 centimeter depth, fitting a 8800 gts (or any other card up to 27.5 mm long. it is quite high though, at 58.5mm and has a width of 230mm.

thanks for the feedback so far. I had a look at the Lian-Li PC-A05. I didn't see it yet, and it is indeed a very interesting case. However, I have my doubts of it being able to match the level of performance I will be expecting from my machine (I will be putting in some enthousiast-level video card ...

quiet alu case for potent hardware

As my current system is as loud as a vaccuum cleaner (stock AMD XP cooler), I would like to put some effort in getting my new system quiet. ...

why did you choose the Nexus over the Noctua fans? The Noctuas are now recommended over the Nexus.

same deal for the cpu cooler, why didn't you go for the Prolima Megahalems?

PS: groetjes vanuit Slovakije ;)
