New bigger and quieter case?

Last christmas I upgraded my home server. I needed something to fit in Ikea Expedit shelf in the corner of the living room and would fit 4 4TB WD Greens (WD40EZRX), so I chose Fractal Design Node 304. Rest of the build consists of: Asus Z87i-Pro motherboard Intel i5 4670K processor Noctua NH-U9B coo...

Re: Lian Li PC-A71F?

Yesterday I changed my components from FT02 to this A71F. It's little noisier than I thought. My one and only 3.5" hard drive caused massive hum, when attached in the upper rear bay. Now it's suspended in the lower hard drive bay in the front and the hum is gone. Although I still hear some hum and r...

Re: Talk me off the FT02

I had the FT02 (well, I still have it but it's almot sold by now). It's huge case, but still quite small inside. I had GTX580 SLI setup and I had to remove my optical drive because cables were didn't fit between drive and the second GTX 580 (which had Accelero Xtreme). Those cards also almost hit th...

Re: Replace Silverstone FT-02?

OP I feel the same.... :D ...and I'm having thoughts of changing the case again, because my co-worker sold me another GTX580 with Accelero Xtreme Plus II :D Fits quite fine, but my optical drive won't fit. Drive itself will fit, but can't plug any cables to it :D If I move to watercooling, then it ...

Re: Replace Silverstone FT-02?

Nearly year ago I replaced my modified Antec P180 with an Silverstone FT-02. Since then I have also rebuild my system. From the first day I got the case, I have felt a little dissapointed. The case itself is great, but it just might not bee the right one for me. Now when there are Antec P280 and Co...

Re: Fortress FT02B w/ 2600k and HR-02

Just wanted to say, that your system looks great.
Now I know which direction I should take my system.
I already have GTX580, 2500k and AX750 also in FT02, so my next steps would be HR-02 and Accelero Xtreme Plus II (your Sparkle has one as default?).

What is that thing you have your hard drive suspended in? You have any more pictures of that?

Re: Thermalright HR-02 !!!

Would HR-02 work ok with LianLi PC-A05N since it has reversed airflow? I read from some review the heatsink must be as close as possible to the back panel so it doesn't block the memory slots and offers the best cooling. Does it even fit in?
Just curious and not thinking about new system  :D

Yeah, I thought so.

I'm going to build it inside some drawer/cabinet or build complete case from scratch, so the size won't be an issue.

Thanks for the help

Is PicoPSU enough?

Hi! I'm thinking of building a quiet fileserver for home. I'm planning to use Intel D510MO motherboard with some 4-port raid-card, some small/cheap 2,5" hard drive for OS and four hard drives I currently have in my main machine (in the future I plan to upgrade to 4 Western Digital WD20EARS) for stor...

I got my HR-03 GTX yesterday and I must say, that Palit GTX260 Sonic is not "quite" compatible with it. http://img517.imageshack.us/img517/4408/img1250u.th.jpg Here are the stock fans removed. At this point I began to have a bad feeling. :) After removing the standard cooler, I found out tha...

I think I'll go with the HR-03 GTX. I have 3 slots to spare and fourth can be arranged if necessary.

Somehow I've allways felt it is the "right" cooler for a silent GTX260 :D

Thanks for the help.

Let's continue with epic bumps :D I had a 8800GT with Acclero S1 running without fan (only Nexus Silent in front of P180). Recently I purchased Palit GTX260 Sonic and I'd like to make it quieter. I'm undecided between Prolimatech MK-13 and Thermalright HR-03 GTX. If understood correctly, neither of ...

Saw one of these cases yesterday at work. Didn't impress much. The front door may be aluminium, but the front panel where it is attached is plastic which also rattles against the case itself.

Although it might be ok with little modding and stuff

Since my question relates to this topic, I'd like to know, if you can remove the Big Boy fan easily or is "Dremel-violence" necessary? :P

Edit: Nevermind, finally saw some pictures where I could see screws
