Re: noisy fan on Corsair TX650 V2

Ive read several people having trouble with the V2 TX650 psu fan.

It also is a bit cheaper where I live compared to the original.

So incase the stock cooler on G620 or i3 2100 is too noisy for my ears I would like to use my old left over Ninja rev. B cooler instead. The motherboard is Asrock MB S1155 ASROCK H61M/US3S It has 775 mounting holes so fits Ninja. Ive hear that vrm need stock for sandy bridge motherboards?!?! http://...

Re: Replacing PSU fan

The 120mm fan has red and black wire soldered to a green PCB.

I guess I could cut it off and wire in another fan or connect another fan to motherboard.

Re: Replacing PSU fan

Thank you for reply.

I was hoping to connect the zalman adapter directly to PSU, maybe wishful thinking.

THe PSU is a old ~2006 mode that came with my Nexuz Breeze case.
The name of the PSU is Nexus silent breeze 500w

Replacing PSU fan

So I have a 500w PSU with built in 120mm fan.

Can I put a Zalman 5v or 7v adapter to new fan and then plug it directly on to the PSU?

I have bunch of no-name, scythe fans that are not ball bearing, hopefuly this is not a big problem?

Sounds like the stock on 2100 and G620 is meh then? A stock cooler is like any graceful advice: if it were really good, it wouldn't come for free. Pun intended. I already have one Mugen 2, might get another one as I building to G620 systems, maybe even fanless, I dunno it's going to be 24/7 build. ...

Intel 2100 and G620 stock cooler enough?

I currently have a AM3 system with Mugen 2 500rpm 120mm slipstream, intake 120mm 500rpm, and exhaust 700rpm.

I' considering getting SB system with G620, I need 2 PC and wonder if I should get another Mugen 2 rev B or if the stock cooler is quiet?

I have buzzing sound ONLY when scrollin in Internet explorer.

I never use IE only FF so I haven't bothered where it comes from.

my old PC with completely different components also buzzes but I htink that one buzzes always when browsing, in that one I believe it's the GPU.

Despite reading this thread I ordered a HX650, Ive ordered a TX650 in january that is dead silent for my pc in sig.

I will report back if the HX650 is not same silence.

ps. please not that the noise I refer to is in "Idle" as I do not pay attention to noise when gaming.

could I get any suggestions for a good fan for this PSU?

it's a 120mm in the nx-5000 right now.

fans that are almost dead silent at low rpm or fans that have good noise at higher rpm's.

I currently only use slipstream 120mm in my PC. I was able to roughly halve my CPU's power consumption with a 30% undervolt at stock clockspeed. Does anyone know wh...
