I am 99% sure that a HR-01+ will fit your case. I had one in a P182 and it was an easy fit. I highly recommend using a cpu cooler that requires you to remove the motherboard. The pushpin design just doesn't offer as much pressure compared to using a backplate. I found a picture of a CoolerMaster V8 ...

Heatsinks usually require higher CFM fans, so hooking up your heatsink fan to a fan controller is a good place to start. Fan controllers with knobs won't work in the fractal case iirc, but this nzxt controller http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811992005 should work fine for your ...

I have a Noctua NH-U12P with a single Scythe SFF21E 1200RPM fan on a Core i7 920. Currently I am running a BCLK of 185 with a multiplier of 21 for a clock speed of 3885 at 1.20V. With this setup I hit about 77 degrees at 100% load. If I could fit a Noctua NH-D14 in my case I would use that cooler in...

I just had a chance to run some tests with a Prolimatech MK-13 and an MSI GTX 275. The installation was a breeze, I was able to use the stock heatsink for the vrms, ram, nvio chip, etc. All I had to do was bolt the MK-13 onto the GPU. I was hoping to run the GPU semi-passively, but it was getting a ...

SeaSonic S12II 430B - Semi Passive?
I have a Seasonic X-750, but while I was doing some sleeving I pulled it out of my system and stuck in a Seasonic S12II 430B that I had laying around from an HTPC build I intended to do, but never got around to. To my surprise the S12II 430B's fan hasn't turned on. I read a lot of reviews about the ...

Hey Javier, I just came across your thread and I wanted to drop you a line. I have worked with a lot of the components you listed and I thought that I would provide my input for you. I think that you might need a slightly beefier power supply. I built a system with a DG45FC and an E5200 with a Chenb...

Long time reader, just started posting
Hello fellow quiet computing enthusiasts,
I have read through most of the articles on here, and have found this website to be a wealth of information. My computer has had several incarnations, and I am looking forward to posting up some pictures of my finalized pc once I am done!

Powder Coating Case Interior?
I am thinking about getting the interior of my case powder coated and I was wondering if there is any type of coating that I would also dampen the case? The case is solid aluminum. It's a thicker, sturdy aluminum, but I would just like to lower the resonant frequency of the metal if possible. Thanks...

I have struggled to get speedfan to control all of my fans on various motherboards that I have tried. Recently, I bought an Asus Gene III mATX P55 motherboard because of the 5 on board 4 pin fan headers. Unfortunately, I still had limited control over my fans with this setup. I decided to buy a Silv...
