Re: Stock 2600k + Noctua NH-U9B SE2 = 60°C
You should turn HT back on IMO, Its a shame not to have it on when you have a i7 2600K. Thats like having a i5 2500. About Turbo, even with turbo disabled you are still getting speed changes only your max speed is 3.4 GHZ. Still fast for any takst, but having it on will give you an extra bump at no...

FT02 Top Fan (120mm)
Has anyone just removed this fan? I did and it had no effect on cooling performance whatsoever. I guess maybe if you want extreme cooling and have the three bottom fans in their high setting it might help a little, but with them at low, the top fan seems to be more of an obstruction than anything. I...

Re: Stock 2600k + Noctua NH-U9B SE2 = 60°C
Why did you disable Hyperthreading and turbo? you should have gone with 2500K if you didn't want HT, would save your $100. On my 2500K i usually get around 50C on load now that i lowered the fans, 60C doesn't seem high since you using a smaller heatsink and i dont know the rest of the system (other...

Stock 2600k + Noctua NH-U9B SE2 = 60°C
This is not an overclocking system, I just want maximum longevity. CPU: Stock 3.4GHz Turbo and HT: Disabled. Cooler: Noctua NH-U9B SE2 Ambient temperature is 24.5°C (~76°F). Getting 60°C at 100% load (Prime95 large FFT). Tried it with 2 fans both on Noctua silent adaptors, and then with 1 fan on the...

Hmmm... that Antec's fan positioning as a bit of a PITA. My silverstone HTPC case has a grille positioned for the usual 120mm fan placement (on the underside) for PSUs. This means that the PSU is almost totally isolated from the rest of the case airflow. The Antec Signature PSUs cannot make use of t...

Alternative To AcoustiPack Dampening?
I was intending to purchase the AcoustiPack Deluxe dampening kit for the HTPC I'm building, but it's no longer available in the only shop that used to sell it here in NZ.
So I need an alternative now. Any suggestions most welcome.

Antec Signature vs Enermax Modu82+
My Corsair HX620 is driving me insane with it's damn coil whine, so I'm going to replace it. But I simply cannot make up my mind between the Enermax Modu82+ 625W and Antec Signature 650 for my HTPC build. If anyone has noticed any coil whine in either of those units, for God's sake let me know now! ...

Re: Case Fan Dampening
When mounting a good quiet fan like those found in the Scythe line should I install with one of the vibration dampening products? Is there a 'best' product to use? I signed up to this forum with the intention of making a "Rubber Screw vs. Gasket" thread. I guess the answer will benifit you too. :) ...
