When you're talking about running those Nexus fans at 9V/850rpm, are we talking about actually re-wiring to reduce the factory voltages and rotation speeds? Would using a fan controller and just slowing the fans down using a big dumb knob provide the same result? For now budget wise I won't mess wi...

Will mounting a second GPU in crossfire make the machine to become noisy when it's idle or playing music/movies? Thanks again. Best All the time! With a second card both will be very tightly close to each other which will lead to less air being drawn in their coolers. So the top card will have to r...

If you want silence and a cool system forget about CrossFireX or SLI. Unless you use two passive cooled GPUs and have a very decent airflow in the case... The ATI 5770 passive is coming soon so you might try and search there. Concerning the furniture, I don't recommend putting a PC inside a "drawer"...

This isn't the fan used in the new noctua's cooler NH-D14? http://www.noctua.at/images/computex_09/noctua_nh_d14.jpg They are also remaking their coolers to fit this fan, specially the NH-C12P SE14: http://www.noctua.at/images/computex_09/noctua_c12p_se14.jpg The fan: http://www.noctua.at/images/com...

Glad people are welcoming it well. I have an Antec case and couldn't be happier with it. Even though I don't really like the design of the LanBoy and the new gaming cases (200 and 600) they are still great cases. I just question the use of the colours in LanBoy and the front of 200 (I believe it loo...

When I get the rest of the hardware I will test the volt trick. Because in the SPCR of the Mini P180, MikeC said: The fan can run significantly quieter, but the reduced airflow is probably inadequate for the kind of hot components that the case (and Antec) invites, so the default minimum noise level...

CPU heatsink: The Coolermaster heatsink is a good budget option, from what I have read. If you can, get a second set of wire fan mounts (if it doesn't come with the retail package) and go for a push/pull mounting with low voltage fans - this worked very well in the SPCR review of the Scythe Mugen 2...

System Advice: i5 in silent Mini P180
Hello there, I am a newbie here, but I have been reading the site for many months now and finally decided to register and to be part of this community. My story is the same as many others around here, so I won't take long. I come from a NOX Coolbay Side Window case cooled by 2 Noiseblockers XL1 powe...

Well, Antec heading this path of ridiculously ugly cases which are incredibly overpriced, Coolermaster has nothing to worry about. Can't believe it is the same Antec, the one that released my Mini P180 and acclaimed cases like the P180 and Solo, among others, and now releases this beast and the Ante...
