I found it otherwise. I had a passive X1900XT before so majorly in need of an upgrade. I was used to complete silence on the GPU front but found the 5750 Vapor-X to be very quiet. But perhaps I'm not pushing it hard. I'm using stock speeds and not gaming as yet... I've pushed it by watching StarTrek...

Hi, Just wondering how easy it is to change the heatsink and fan on a 5750 Vapor-X. I assume the whole Vapor-X concept is thrown out if the Sapphire Heatsink is changed ? Or can the Vapour cooling chamber still be used along side my own sourced heatink and fan ? Keep the 5750 feedback coming... It's...

Guys, Thanks for your responses. I finally installed the Kaze Jyu Slim @ 2000RPM and it works well. I've slowed it down to 1300 RPM using an Aerocool-1000 and it's quiet enough for my lounge. my i7 920 is peaking at 43 degrees, though I've not stress tested it as yet. The only problem I faced was wi...

@Haych - How did it go with the Kaze Jyu Slim ? Did you go for the 1000 or 2000rpm in the end ? I have a similar dilemma : In my new i7 build, I have a Scythe Ninja mini, but the fan butts in with my Corsair Dominator memory. So I also, need a low profile fan, ideally 92mm. I'd be interested to hear...

So... it sounds like the majority of you are recommending I head down the 5750 path. So again, this will boil down to : - Vapor X Factory Overclocked 5750 vs - Powercolor Stock speed Passive 5750 Again, my priority is silence. If the performance gain with the vapor-x is possible in reasonable silenc...

5xx0 quiteness - Should I beleive other website reviews ?
Hi, I'm a newbie here - My story's the same as many of the others here... I've been reading alot, but finally decided to sign up. I'm in the process of building my new i7 rig and looking at Quiet but powerful GPU options for my HTPC. My requirements are : - HD playback - occasional transcoding - occ...
