i5 2400 and a ATI 5770 in a Q-08 - which power supply?
Hi All, I was just about to replace my aging linux server with a DH67BL microATX based system but 1) the linux drivers for the HD2000/3000 will not be part of the standard Natty Narwhal release and 2) the availability of this board has dropped to ZERO! My guess is the Z68 stuff is in the pipeline an...

If this is true, what is the point of the T model? marketing?goatsandmonkeys wrote: the 65watt models seem to idle around the same as the 95w models so I would also assume that the T model doesn't idle lower.

Re: Intel Core i3-2100 vs. AMD Phenom II X2 565
Second that. Is the T just an underclocked version of the i3 2100? What are the power consumption / performance trade offs with the T? Anybody seen a good analysis posted anywhere?City4United1 wrote:Any plans to look at the i3 2100T?

Re: Mini-ITX HTPC/Server: Hardware
It looks like your motherboard has a PCIe slot and your tuner card is a PCI. Very few mini-ITX boards have PCI slots.

Re: Mini-ITX Sandy Bridge gaming build...
Which CPU are you planning on using? I suppose the 45W TDP i5-2500T might be the best bet for a quad core mini-ITX system?

Unfortunately, they got that by using a notebook drive (~2W max load, <1W idle). Add another 10W for 2x 3.5" green HDD's. True, and good point. The numbers on your DH57JG look even more impressive now that I see there are 2x 3.5" drives factored into that. I'd like to update my system with similar ...

I'm not an expert by any means, but i'll be interested to see how people respond because I'd like to build something similar. However I want it to also be my 24/7 NAS and music server so I want to keep the idle power as low as possible but still maintain enough CPU/GPU power to run a MythTV backend/...

I can vouch for an atom/ion solution.... I use a pair of Asus USB DVB sticks to capture content Thanks Suzyj for the info. So theN330 atom CPU can handle encoding an analog signal too? I'm leaning toward the Asus board (AT3N7A-I) because I have a PCI based tuner. A 30W system would also save me ~$3...

24/7 media server with minimal HTPC capabilities?
Hi everyone. I have an old P4 2.4C machine that I have been using as a NAS/media server/bit torrent machine that pulls about 66W. I leave it on all the time and I feel a little guilty about that - I calculate that it is costing me ~$75/year. Recently, I decided to get rid of both my 19" CRT monitor ...
