Re: Cooler Master GeminII M4 Low Profile Heatsink
I wanted to express my personal good fortune with this particular cooler. My gaming HTPC has a i5-2500k @ 4.2Ghz (stock voltage) in a Silverstone GD04 HTPC case. My options were pretty limited as my Blu-Ray drive mounts right above the CPU limiting cooler height to max of 70mm. The OEM cooler had on...

I have a Scythe Big Shuriken cooling my Athlon II X3 running at 3.2Ghz at stock voltage. I replaced the stock fan with a Gelid PWM 120mm fan that tops out at 56cfm @ 1500rpm. It runs as quiet as the included fan as far as I can tell and cools to the tune of about 5c better at load. Overall I am plea...

I am not a quiet expert as I like things quiet but have more tolerance for noise than some here. I believe that the AC Accelero L2 Pro also fits the HD 4770 and can be found for around $15-18. It has a PWM fan, runs a bit cooler than stock and should be quieter. I am not familiar with that Antec cas...

Rosewill Green 430W Did you get the single 12V or four 12v rail model? I recently purchased the 1x12V 430W Rosewill PSU and was pleased with the noise it produces. Definitely not silent, but quiet enough that my other fans drown it out. I have a separate intake for it, though, so I wonder how it do...

Well I hooked up the Big Shuriken with the stock fan. Temps instantly dropped 10c at idle and 15c under OCCT load after 30 minutes (45c idle/62c load). Switched over to the Gelid PWM fan, but it would not spin up for some reason. CPU would just keep getting hotter and it would twitch, but never star...

I just ordered a Scythe Big Shuriken to test myself with my HTPC. HTPC setup: Athlon II X3 325 (3.3Ghz @1.3v which is stock volts), Foxconn A7GM-S, 2GB Gskill HK, HIS HD4830, 2x500GB WD, Rosewill Green 430W, Onkyo SR-606, Silverstone SUGO. Currently using OEM cooling my core temps get really hot whe...
