You wont able to overclock much if at all, it will get to 125C very quickly if you start to OC, and its hotter than if you had just left the stock fan on... so im not sure you accomplished anything..... I would like to point out that: 1. You'll need to bend the heatpipes in an upward direction so that it clears the baseplate, I also changed the position of the TTPro's base. 2. You'll need a 10cm Xfire cable to clear the heatpipes. And OMG they just drowned that base in MX-3 lol  And for some...

you can also download gpu-z, and have it running in the background, while you game, etc, and have it log stats to a file.

Then you can check your fan speeds and temps, to see whats going on.

in that pic from Nova, he does indeed have the stock plate reinstalled. What he did was add 1 after market heat sink into the opening of where the orginal fan was. Not a bad idea i guess, but its not touching the VRMs, so i dont think its doing much either :)

Yes. The GPU on the 5850's is a little closer to the front of the card then 5870's. Thus the coverage problem, it was an easy fix though, its thin sheets, and easy to cut, took all of about 5 minutes.

1. I have a Twin Turbo pro on my 5850. 2.The screws are metric i can tell you that, not sure size. "tiny" hehe. 3. The base plate (its metal, not plastic, and is designed to cool the mem and vrm) is the WAY too go. The heat sinks that come with after market coolers will NOT cut the mustard. As most ...
