The cooler master is pretty good. That CPU runs at 95w TDP right? My pentium d 2.66 runs at 95 as well, and the CM keeps it at 27C idle with the stock fan at 7-800RPM. Getting close to 1200RPM can't get hum/noise, but not annoyingly so. On load I had to max out the CPU fan, and the antec P180 minis ...

Try hitting up a home depot and look for polystyrene sheets.

I'm not sure how well it would work (never tried it or seen anyone try it) but you can get a 1/2" thick 2x8ft sheet of it for under $7.

That's an experiment that's light on the wallet in case it doesn't work.

Also, is push-pull on the CPU heatsink really necessary? Three fans that close will increase the noise level dramatically. Check if you can live without the "pull" fan. You might also consider replacing the Antec Tricool on the top with a better fan. Antec fans are noisy. I agree with this. I tried...

I'm using it for my Pentium D 2.66g (TDP is apparently 95w) and it keeps it at 27-29c idle (depending on the ambient in my poorly insulated room) with the fan set mid 700rpms. I haven't tested it at load, but it usually goes to 32-34c when watching a movie. It was extremely easy to install though. j...

I set up mine north-south and had very good results. All 4 fans are set low, and I'm idling at 27C. Cool. Did you try it east-west? No. I set it up like this the first time, and I'm very happy with the results. I think either way you set it up you'll have good results. That HS is top notch, that ca...

Well I would think it'd be bad due to it being closer to you, and it being not so quiet, 23db. I am fine with not pushing tons of air, the components won't be anything like the systems spcr uses to test this thing. It'd be a midrange quad, and a midrange gpu, not SLI or any OC'ing. Hard drives, wel...

Nice looking micro rig!

I installed the same CPU cooler in mine and I love it. Keeps my idling at 27-29C on low RPMs. It was really easy to install as well.

You have different fan mounting brackets though.

I decided to go with Mini P180 (black), and the Cooler Master Hyper 212 plus. I liked the design and price of the cooler master (found it for $27.99 CND). It has staggered direct touch heat pipes. Can be equipped for push pull, but I have it pushing air to the 200mm fan, so I don't need another pull...

^ So the HAF would not be ideal for a silent setup.

How good is it at sheer cooling power?

I always have cooling problems in the summer.

Thanks for the help. I love the look, features, and organizational qualities of the P one series cases, the P180 Mini especially since my MOBO is a mATX. I'm just not sure if one 200mm fan will keep it cool in the hot summer days. Black is definitely a must since it matches my monitor and desk. The ...

I'm in, somewhat, the same boat. But I'm looking at the mid tower HAF.

Trying to decide between a P one series or something with lots of big fans to stay cool.

Would love to hear some thoughts on this.

Need some advice/recommendations

First off, a big "HELLO!!!!" to everyone. I'm a newb here and I need some help with a setup I was thinking about. I recently fried my last computer, and was able to score some stuff real cheap and some of it free. I use my PC for internet, movies, pictures, and picture editing. I have a pretty crapp...
