Re: Using unofficial modular cables for PSU. Is it safe?

Say, I have Seasonic SS-400FL, but no Molex nor PCI-E cables for it, just 2 SATA cables. Is it a good idea to buy few of those SATA->Molex adapters and attach them to one of the SATA connectors, hen attach a Molex->PCIe adapter and connect GPU, fans, HDDs to these adapters? Is anything going to burn...

Re: First Seasonic Prime reviews in the wild

I'm getting exact same noise on idle with my PRIME 650 Titanium. It's driving me nuts! What worries me is that there seems to be no guarantee the replacement unit wouldn't have the same issue. I hope it's not an inherent issue with that new 135mm FDB fan they're now using. What do we do then? It's ...

Re: Seasonic Titanium PSUs

So it has slipped again? I figured since August is almost over, and nothing. Still remember that Anandtech article in June telling that the unit is in mass production and available in a few stores in EU. That author had no clue, apparently. I'll reiterate what others said about coil whine. I hope t...

Thanks for the reply @Seasonic Rep I do hope that it will be worth the wait. The customer demographic who buy the fanless model want utterly silent operation and I hope you have used the extra year so to achieve that. Would not want coil whine to spoil it. Hope you will send a sample to SPCR for te...

Re: First Seasonic Prime reviews in the wild

About your PSU, with a Titanium efficiency, you can let let your PSU with the fan facing upward. The heat released will be really low from the power supply, therefore you can use it like this in Hybrid mode. You can also use it with fan facing downward. In that case, PSU will start the fan if load ...

Hello, Thank you for your reply. Well, unfortunately, we can't propose spare parts, especially fans, as it will void your warranty to exchange it. You need to remove the warranty sticker. Re: First Seasonic Prime reviews in the wild

So I got the 650W prime. It has two modes of operation, a hybrid mode where the fan is off (supposedly up to 50% load) and a "standard" mode where the fan always spins. Instructions say that in hybrid mode the PSU must be oriented so the vent holes open UP, which means towards the GPU in a Define R...

Re: Seasonic Platinum 1200 (SS-1200XP3): Noisy?

Hi Luca,
The P-1200 does have a Hybrid function where it runs can run in Fanless mode.
Under normal fan control, non-hybrid mode, the fan runs in our normal fan control mode.

There are 3x Fanless units, 400FL, 460FL & 520FL.
The new XP2 has better fan/noise performance than XP1.

Thank you.
