third party gpu cooler for 5570?

i was wondering if anyone have come across a gpu cooler for the ati 5570 card?

i looked at a number of coolers, scythe setsugen/musashi, arctic cooling accelero, ZEROtherm CoolMaxx 2000, various thermalright and none of them even list the 5570

any recommendation?

thanks

i followed your advice and i tried by hdtune and hddscan they both took about the same amount of time 4hrs for 1.5TB drive and 6 hrs for 2.0TB drive the weird thing is that when i ran it on one of the empty 2.0TB drive, it passd the test, but as soon as i tried writing data to it, it started to exhi...

Download HDDScan. Run "extended SMART test", then check for SMART values. You can do full format but extended SMART test does the same (and a bit more). Manufacturer diagnostics isn't necessary as if you run manufacturer's diagnostics (which usually requires you to boot to DOS) all the utility does...

software for undervolting/underclocking intel i3?

i tried using rmclock and crystalcpu and neither of which supports the new i3 processors i know i can undervolt/underclock from the bios, but i prefer to start with the software solution as i wouldnt need to clear the bios if i over do it and once im happy with the stability, i can then modify the s...

how do you test a hard drive?

so im curious about what people do to make sure that their newly purchased hard drive is not a partial lemon before entrusting it and placing a ton of data on it. the reason i ask is, i just bought two hard drives to replace my existing ones. what would i need to do such that i can trust it not to c...

just want to say thanks again to the comments on this thread

you guys convinced me that i should play it safe and go with the picopsu 150 and a 150w ac/dc adapter, it is definitely not worth damaging a good system that is worth more than the price of a 150w adapter.

now to wait for the delivery guy

update i ended up setting the multiplier and voltage in the bios 10.5x @ 0.95V this was helpful as it stopped the computer from drawing ~90W from my ac/dc adapter that caused the fan to run in windows, i increased the voltage to 0.85V for the lower multiplier and the system seems to be doing fine so...

thanks for all the feedback i stressed the cpu at the lowest setting by disabling all the other multipliers (still not sure if that is the right term), so it forces it to run 200mhz x 5, 1.0ghz, with prime95 running, which it is stable with voltage 0.75V. so as some of you mentioned, it is most like...

Re: how do you test if a system is stable when undervolting

As for advice, what is your end goal? Are you aiming to reduce maximum power consumption at full CPU load to bring down max fan speeds? Do you have a target CPU fan RPM or target temperature in mind? What is the stock multiplier and voltage for that CPU, and what is the lowest stable voltage at the...

one more thing im wondering,
can a power hungry device cause less power going to another device?

for example, if a hard drive is spinning up/seeking a lot, could it cause less volts to be delivered to the cpu?

how do you test if a system is stable when undervolting

im curious to know what program people use to test for stability when undervolting. i ran prime95 with 2 threads (for amd be2400), it ran overnight, with multiplier 10x at 0.95V, but it would still randomly crash my machine to avoid random crashes, i now have multiplier 8.0 at 0.95V. this makes the ...

lower power cpu == normal cpu when undervolted?

I was wondering if low power cpus have the same power consumption as a normal cpu with the same architecture and clock speed when undervolted in general?

i just want to know if it is worthwhile to wait for the low power amd 240e or just get the normal amd 240 if im going to undervolt.

thanks
