What is the best enclosure?

Is the best way to silence a hard drive to put it in an enclosure and either place that enclosure on foam or suspend it from elastic bands to decouple the vibrations from the case?

Also what is the best enclosure for a 3.5 inch drive? The Smart Drive? Scythe Quiet Drive? Thanks!

It depends on what you deem as quiet. For starters, you have 12 fans, which will add 11 dB to the noise of only one fan, if they all ar run at the same speed. I am talking specifically about the models which have 3 92mm fans stock. Are these models silent on low (1000rpm as stated by AC) and can you hook these cards up to fan controllers and run them slower than 1000rpms? Thanks
