Re: SilverStone Fortress FT02 Revisited
Just thought I'd chime in with one problem I had with the FT02 that I have not heard others talk about. I tried out a couple higher power PSU's that admittedly may be too powerful for this case, the Corsair AX1200 and the Seasonic X-1050. When in the FT02, they ran very loud, with the PSU fan runnin...

Re: SilverStone Temjin TJ08-E: MicroATX Evolved
Followup to power supply orientation. I sent an email to SilverStone about it and got this response: You can mounted in both directions, if you mounted upward the fan will intake air and exhaust through the rear and will run cooler but if you mounted inward then you can take advantage of the fan in ...

Re: SilverStone Temjin TJ08-E: MicroATX Evolved
Lastly, as soon as I saw that CPU HS/F support leg, I thought, why didn't they do the same for the graphics card? It always bugs me how long cards droop. I think they could easily add one right above the HDD cage, which is ideal since that's where a long card would be hanging over. They did. See pa...

Re: SilverStone Temjin TJ08-E: MicroATX Evolved
The only reason I can think of for Silverstone recommending facing a 120mm power supply fan into the case is dampening noise from the power supply. I dunno ... maybe it would also help add circulation to the power supply fan and efficiently route it quickly out of the case. Not sure if the added hea...

Re: SilverStone Temjin TJ08-E: MicroATX Evolved
Nice review. This case is much easier to modify than other micro-ATX cases. Did you have the power supply facing upward or downward? The booklet says if the power supply has a 120mm fan, it should face into the case. I'm curious if this is accurate. I would also mention that the hard drive cage is s...

Re: Quiet sub-$3k build
So I guess you would not suggest using an 80mm fan on the VRM?
And have you found any solution to making the stock base FT02 fans quieter? Do you think buying three FM181 fans would work, or maybe cost too much ($78)?

Re: Quiet sub-$3k build
Hi, I had been putting together a build remarkably similar to this build. And then I found this post and it has given me quite a few tips. Build is still in progress. One new suggestion is perhaps the Prolimatech Genesis recently reviewed on this site. I think it would fit well in this build (replac...
