Re: Noctua NH-L12 Low Profile Cooler

Pardon me for asking, but was there any commentary about the new Noctua 120 itself? It seemed like there was just a "Here's the chart for this new fan" and that was it. I've grown accustomed to the insight, buried as they are in heatsink reviews, but was disappointed, here.

Re: Fanless Power Supply PC Build Guide

Along simular lines, wouldn't this be a bad idea: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811163174 Seemingly not much headroom for convection, no? Any of the recommended passive PSUs should work fine in that case, which has venting above and below the PSU. It does? [goes to look at m...

Re: Fanless Power Supply PC Build Guide

Just one question, how would a fanless PSU fare in a horizontal computer case. E.g if the intake fan was on the side of the case (if there was a fan) ? Convection could not be relied upon because hot air would be trapped on one side. It would depend on the particular case, but in general, if there ...

Re: U2-sized LGA1155 heatsink in a Antec ISK 300-65 Mini-ITX

So anyways: This being all theoretical as yet, I don't know how much head room I'd have to work with. The review here says 96mm, minus 15 for the motherboard, it's standoffs, and the deck height of the CPU, firgure subtract another 2 for wall thickness of the case. But then you have the back half of...

Heh.

Sorry: That was my fault.

So the PSU in an ISK 300-65 does have the 4-pin line for the CPU?

U2-sized LGA1155 heatsink in a Antec ISK 300-65 Mini-ITX?

I have a notion I've found one or two passive heatsinks one could mount on an LGA1155 placed in a Antec ISK 300-65 Mini-ITX case. Assuming the tip about removing the back half of the drive tray brace actually works (sorry, I didn't search for that part), I would imagine something U2-sized, or 64mm, ...

About the PSU in the Antec ISK 300-65 Mini-ITX

I've been looking at building something LGA1155 with this case, and while I think any CPU with a "T" in it's name should work great in the case, I've just now figured out all the motherboards I'd put in it have both the 24-pin ATX power patch, but also the 4-pin one as well. My problem is that A) I ...
