Re: Wanting to Upgrade Nuc
TranquiPC got back to me and said that I wouldn't really be able to upgrade to anything with the case. wahwah. So maybe a new SFF silent pc is in my future. What do you guys think of the OnLogic Helix? It currently offers the 10th gen Intel PCs while giving you the flexibility to be able to use a se...

Re: Wanting to Upgrade Nuc
I think I've found the datasheet for my NUC: https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en ... 50wyk.html
It says the motherboard is form factor UCFF (4" x 4")

Wanting to Upgrade Nuc
Hey everyone, I purchased an Intel Nuc in late 2013 which has an Intel i5 4250U CPU. I placed the machine inside of a beautiful all alluminum Tranquil PC case. It's been working flawlessly for the past 6 years. I think I'm going to need some more horsepower in the coming months and I was wondering i...

Re: Interested in a Ryzen - Fanless System
I saw a post online where a person built a system using an AMD 1700 with a Sapphire Pulse ITX RX 570 4GD5.
He under-volted the GPU. He removed the stock fan on the GPU and mounted the Streacom heatpipe on it and it seemed to work perfectly. I was thinking of doing something similar.

Re: Interested in a Ryzen - Fanless System
If you want a setup without a dedicated GPU, build arround a i7 8700K, it will compete with ryzen 1700. Now if you want still fanless build with ryzen and dedicated gpu, then consider something like Calyos FANLESS PC / Workstation Yes, but I've read a user online who used this GPU with his Ryzen CP...

Thanks for the help.
So, no way to add an active GPU to this system and make it work with a threadripper?

Interested in a Ryzen - Fanless System
I'm interested in a fanless build for my office and was really interested in the AMD Ryzen chips for the performance they offer for the money. I've heard that a more suitable CPU from AMD for SFFs is coming out soon, is that true? The system is going to be used for regular office duties but also Ado...

Re: Recommendation for a small Linux Asterisk Computer
Thanks for the suggestions guys. The power fanatic in me wouldn't let me pull the trigger on a J1900 celeron. I've gone ahead and ordered an Intel D54250WYK - an Intel Haswell Core i5 Nuc. I'm going to be putting the motherboard inside of this case: http://www.tranquilpcshop.co.uk/nuc-chassis/ which...

Re: Akasa for an ASRock Q2900 Motherboard
I just placed the order for the Q2900-ITx.
I need to really figure out a case for it now. So, the Euler S would definitely not work?
Would you guys have a specific PSU that you would recommend?

Re: Akasa for an ASRock Q2900 Motherboard
I definitely will be getting the q-2900 so it's just a matter of finding a small, nice case for it.
So far, it seems that the q-2900 isn't even for sale anywhere yet so I guess I have time to figure things out.

Re: Akasa for an ASRock Q2900 Motherboard
This would be the smallest of the Q2900 series' I believe: http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Q2900-ITX/ it's a mini-itx. I'd actually love to make it work with these nice Akasa cases, their build quality looks really good and they seem to do a good job keeping the system cool. Which of the Akasa cases ...

Akasa for an ASRock Q2900 Motherboard
Hi, I'm looking to build a completely silent and fanless system to run Asterisk for my business. I'm planning on building the system around ASRock's new Q1900TM-ITX which is a mini-itx motherboard with a Celeron Quad Core 2.4Ghz CPU. They also have a micro-itx model. I'm not sure which one would be ...

Ok, understood.
So far this shuttle XS35V4 seems like an extremely good option.
Any other machines I should consider?

Re: Recommendation for a small Linux Asterisk Computer
If you have any other recommendations or suggestions, please let me know. Set aside any NUC kit (as definitely a Brix is), you might give a look to those two barebones: Shuttle XS35V4 Shuttle DS437T Thx for the tips. I had taken a look at the Shuttles before but they had trouble playing nice with L...

Recommendation for a small Linux Asterisk Computer
Hi everyone, I own a small business and have just recently purchased a tiny UDOO computer. It's very similar to a Rasberry PI. I have some issues with this setup and I'm looking to move up to an Intel Based low power computer. The system must be able to work nicely with Linux, specifically CentOS. I...

Cpu Cooler for Fractal Node 304 Build
Hi, I just purchased a Fractal Node 304 along with an Asus H87m-Pro motherboard based on the recommendations of this forum. This system will be basically used for CCTV recording and most likely will not have a GPU installed. I was wondering if there was a suitable QUIET cpu cooler that you guys woul...

Need Advide for a mini Pc for CCTV\PBX
Hi everyone, I've been doing research for a computer for the past few days and I would really appreciate some guidance for a small computer for us. Ideally this machine would be very small and silent and be able to fit a 3.5" because they're less expensive (worst case a 2.5" HD). It would be used as...
