Thermal adhesive conducts electricity? Gosh, I didn't know that. Glad I asked.
Thanks I googled the IFX-10, no one sells it any more. If anyone knows other rear heatsinks, let me know.

Sticking a heatsink on back of mobo with thermal paste...
Good idea, or very terrible idea? I hate fans. That's non-negotiable for me. No fans. So, I have this CR-80EH. Although as I said I am never, ever going back to fans, it's not working out too well. The PC idles at about 50 degrees, and can go up to 80 if I run something moderately intensive, like Ci...

Fanless PSU that can give out 27+amps on the 12v rail?
I have this card: AMD Radeon HD 7950 OC BE 3GB GDDR5. I don't seem to be able to find the technical specification, but I'm told it draws 26 amps.
Is there a truly fanless PSU which pushes out that much power? Looks like NoFan's offering isn't any good, as its max is too low.

Re: Quiet internal fans for laptops
Yeah know there's some fanless ones on the market, just wondered if I could do something more inexpensively to permanently quiet our laptops (they will fill up with dust again eventually). Looks like not, ah well!

Quiet internal fans for laptops
Hi, Sorry if this was answered but I couldn't discern it in the recommended section. Are there quiet fans on the market which are designed for replacing the normal fan inside a laptop? (So NOT cooling pads) There are 2 laptops I want to do this with: Toshiba Satellite L750-1RJ HP Pavillion G6. I'm g...

alternative to fan for laptop?
Hi,
Was wondering if anyone knows of anything like this this which could be used to replace a laptop fan?
Sorry if this has been asked before. I tried to do all the standard search before you post yadda-yadda... but I can't concentrate because of the noise of my girlfriend's laptop .
