Actually I got myself a Seasonic Platinum Fanless 460W, I'm going to try out whether I can keep temps low enough. If not, I'd go for a semi passive one. Imo you dont need those. Get a decent laptop with low voltage components like low voltage RAM, a power efficient SSD and an U-series i5 and your laptop should run passive (my X240 Thinkpad does). In the future as Broadwell will come, there will be more and more fanless systems

Nowadays fanless PSUs can easily be run in a regular case with regular components, at least that's what all the recent reviews of newer passive PSUs show.
