I use my 7000ALCU to cool my e4300 @ 2.7ghz. Using TAT stress test it goes upto 70C+ (at which point I get worried and stop it). Mine is modded with a nexus 92mm at 12v (almost inaudible in my system), which gives slightly better results than the zalman stock fan @ 5v. I'm about to change it to an u...

Will the Thermalright Ultra-120 fit in an Evercase EC-4252?

Well, I think i've finally realised 70C after a couple of minutes is a bit too hot for my core2duo @ 2.7ghz with zalman 7000ALCU. Looking to replace it with a thermalright ultra-120 really, since I can get that for £25 delivered. I can actually get the ninja for £27 delivered but after realising I...

How good is the Stock C2D Intel HSF (compared w/ 7000ALCU)

Hi, About to do my c2d (E4300 + P35 board) setup, just waiting on ram to arrive. One question though, I've an old zalman 7000ALCU (modded with a nexus 92mm) which I had planned to use, bought the ZM-CS1 clip , which allows the 7000 series to be used on LGA775. I've actually roughly estimated using t...

9700pro to x850xt - will I need a new power supply?

Been out of the loop for a while now. Currently running A64 3200+ winchester, 1gig (2x512mb), 2 hds, 2 optical drives, r9700pro, 3x pci cards on an old atx1.x Seasonic SS-300GS (same as an SS-300FS if anyone remembers those - about 5 years old now). This is rated at max 15a and 18a peak on the +12v ...

What I want to know is how did you use the CoreCenter program to alter the NB fan speed? I have version 1.7.3.0. When I click on the "CoreCentre" text it allows me to choose "Cool n Quiet" or "User Mode". When I select "User mode" it only allows me to alter the CPU fan speed. That is how I set the ...

It was modded with a single Panaflo 80mm L1a @12v (in place of high speed dual fans). Actually my current Seasoni...

I had a 120mm Fortron 300w FSP300-60PN(A)PF, the fan controller spun up to 8-9v at a fairly moderate load, it then stayed there and was loud to be fair. The fan that was in mine was a Yate Loon 120mm D12SM-12 but was a slightly different fan from what we normally see, the fan hub is bigger and is no...

Ok after reading THIS thread and sticking the nexus' 92mm fan model (without the -3 at the end) into google, one result came up with a site selling these for $4.50 + shipping. I know people aren't as interested in 92mm fans as their 120mm counterparts. But there are still a handful with only 92mm av...

Yeah, unfortunately it's $20 to ship one fan to the UK, which makes $28 (~£15) delivered, more than what we can get the nexus delivered for (£14).

Anyone own or seen one of these before?

I just won one on an ebay auction, i know it has Active PFC and offers the same power specs as the SS-300FS (thanks to dodgy polish translations).

Google returns very little results, I just hope it has a p4 connector and s2fc fan control ;/

They're around that spec, I cant remember exactly what the cfm and db were. Something like 105cfm and 39db anyway.

At 5v they emitted motor noise, so not great all in all.

Do you think the Nexus 92mm would be a good replacement for the zalman 7000 ALCU stock fan?

How would it compare at 12v to zalman's stock fan at 5v (lowest fan mate setting) for airflow and noise?
