Quietest card to run 2 monitors
Hiya, I have a gaming card GTX 580 but its very loud at idle and i dont use games much any more. So I am looking for a card just to do my business related work and also work with photoshop. The quieter the better. The only thing is I do run 2 monitors (one at 2560x1600 and the other at 1920x1200) so...

FS: Radeon X850 XT PE + Zalman VF90 + Nexus fan
powerful radeon X850 Xt PE (AGP, one of the fastest AGP card to date) modified with a zalman VF900 cooler then a nexus fan fixed onto the zalman in place of the stock noisy zalman fan. This card is EXTREMELY quiet in this setup. At lower voltages in a very quiet P180/silentdrive setup it is inaudibl...

thanks for that well, i want fans to respond specifically to chip core temps and hard drive temps I can't imagine that the included T-balancer temp probes will be as accurate as the on die figures of the P4 and X850 sensors (or SMART hdd figures). And in my experience its near impossible to properly...

Have you checked the quality of power in your house? what about the dozens and dozens of other people who have had buzzing and clicking with phantoms and seasonics ..... did they all check their domestic supplys ? No, they didn't. And why didn't they ..... simple, because the problem is with antec ...

I'm confused. You say you only use it once a month or so. Do you leave media in the drive all the time, even though you never use it? Why not just take the media out of the drive in the first place and only put it in the drive when you're using it? theres no media in there but it still makes noise ...

well, just to come back to this thread i bought a P180 and whilst i agree that its most definitely a highly compromised 'one size fits all' type product for gamers, overclockers, those interested in low noise computing and anyone else it can appeal to , in my opinion its still the best starting poin...

DVD writer that you can turn on and off ?
what do people do about dvd writers mine soon spins down after boot up but its rapidly becoming the loudest thing in my rig just with its soft constant whine. Its not a particularly noisy model, far from it.. its just that as a develop my rig and silence the usual culprits, components like the mosfe...

i have my rear Nexus fan at 7v and no fan in the upper hole but its left open.. that way the rear fan can draw clean air straight from the top intake then immediately over the ninja. this seems to be quite efficient as the air in that chamber does not heat up under CPU load. The space near my ram, t...

P180 and Seasonic/Corsair
does anyone run a Seasonic or one of the new Corsair HX psu's with an Antec P180 ? I have orederd an HX620 and am wondering if i will need a lower chamber fan or if the downward facing 120mm on the psu will be enough to manage the airflow in the lower chamber and also enough to draw air over my 2 HD...

My system so far & P180 GPU chamber design ?
well, looks like ive sorted my CPU cooling in my P180. Tried various combinations of fans at the rear of the case and ended up with just 1 exhaust Nexus at 7v in the rear of the case and a huge dividing duct runinng from the bottom edge of the rear fan across to the bottom of the lowest 5.25 bay. in...

another Phantom 500 buzzing ?
well, the general spec, its suitability for antec P180 use and user reports on here convinced me to take a chance and take the plunge. Ordered one from Amazon and whilst it does seem to work well with a 7v Nexus in a P180, mine is intermitently making a very high pitched whine or buzzing which is ju...
