I was amazed to hear on NPR this morning that early voting in North Carolina was at 41% of registered voters - more than voted in the whole of 2004.

I'd love to see that kind of passion nationwide - I'm an old fashioned guy, I'm going to vote first thing in the morning

I don't think the 300's problem has ever been that it's doesn't provide enough cooling...

I have similar components in one with a TRUE - and the 4850 running passive w/S1 - no front fan, top fan off - no issues cooling at all.

Guess I should change my sig one of these days

I have the ASUS card and the S1 R2 (passive) - it's running about 20c lower than the stock cooling. There is one RAM sink that will need to be moved (the bottom most one in your picture) - at least it did on mine. It's hits one of the heat pipes. What are you using to cool the VRMs on the side? I di...

I was running my Zalman at 40% too and it is a big improvemnt over full speed - I finally got around to fan swapping to a Nexus 92mm - running at 100% it cools better and is much quieter. The Zalman fan is j...

Can't be sure but I doubt it's actually metal those would be mighty tough "spaggetti straps on formal gowns" if it was.

Doesn't seem like an issue of bad performance considering he's running the Ninja passive. This is pretty much in line with SPCR test results.

That said - running a very slow fan should boost performance considerably without adding much noise.
