They are quite cool. Checking the temp log on my server, the SP1614N has been hovering between 27C and 29C this morning. Temperature in NYC today is around 50F/10C.

FWIW, all four of the Samsungs I've ordered from Newegg have been NIDECs. These orders were spread out over a year's time.

Other people have reported getting JVC models from Newegg, so it looks like it just might be the luck of the draw.

Just thought I'd mention that I recently ordered a SP1614N from Newegg and got a NIDEC FDB model, so if you're looking for them, the egg might be worth a lottery ticket.

The Antec SX-1000II case doesn't come with a PSU. You can get it for $66 shipped at AccuPC.
