I don't think I've ever seen a dual AGP board so crossfire support seems pretty impossible. :P Powercolor comes with a cooler from arctic cooling so I'd consider trying that and then decide to upgrade it or not. I've never used that model of cooler but it should be a lot better than the standard one...

It is mutually exclusive. Overclockers want a case that can provide as much CFM through the cpu/video card as possible. So the more 120mm fan holes the better. Silencers want as few moving parts as possible. So preferably only 1x 120mm fan hole for exhaust. I didnt say you cant make the p180 quiet,...

If you're using XP Media Center the Xbox 360 is supposed to work as a media center extender if you get $399 verson. I'm not sure if this is ideal for you, but the added bonus of a next gen console isn't bad imo!

A generous helping of acoustipack will definately help. You really should narrow down exactly what the buzzing is first though. I would simply remove the side panels and listen to what's making the most noise though and tackle those parts first. Acoustipack is great and will make a decent aluminum c...

I like aluminum cases, I like Antec, but Antec's aluminum cases are just flimsy from what I've seen. Basically Antec tends to use thin materials, this is not a huge problem with steel even if it is not optimal for acoustics. But with aluminum it will become a big problem. They do have some improveme...

I still think that to get the crazy gamers include a good quiet 500watt 24pin powersupply with the case for 200bones and they will sell to the gamers and the silenters too. Antec could have multiple models too with and without p/s. Antec does not have any power supplies that would fit this qualific...

It's not marketed to just SPCR types. I think it may have been included simply because some people,(especially certain segments of the overclocking crowd) expect a high end case to have a top exhaust of some kind.

To stop stuff like paperclips from falling into the fan. Not to mention all the dust that would gather there when the fan is not running. This depends a bit on locale, but I suppose the chances of things falling into the fan while running has to do with locale as well (ie whether or not one has kid...

Re: Why you dont need 500 watts

You WILL need 500 watts if you have hot air moving into the psu from the case. an isolated, open breathing psu doesnt get hot and therefore, puts out much more wattage of power at higher draws. You WILL need 500 watts if your psu is not efficient. You have a good point that heat effects efficiency,...

It's really in the best interest of enthusiast manfucturers to have fan headers that can push a decent wattage. It will save them from returns/warranty repairs on mobos as it's very hard to prove someone overloaded a fan header and it wasn't defective to begin with.

if you use a phantom that needs to disipate heat via its aluminum fins, and those fins are touching a grilled-out style aluminum case, it HAS to get cooler temps than painted recycled steel. Not sure if you're serious or not, but an Aluminum case will not be cooler than a steel case of the same design. Ok maybe you'll get ambient 1/10th of a degree cooler due to the heat transfer but I doubt it'd be that much.

What's good about aluminum is the look and the weight.
