I did the same to my moms PC. It has a 700mhz slot a amd cpu with 2*40mms screaming to cool a bit. I knew one of them already died. And the second one was making a loud noise. I finally came to silencing it down. I first checked the temps (45cpu) and then i opened it up. Took out both of the fans. A...

Do you guys find the sound absorption rating or something on the site? Cuz i thought you could compare dampening materials by some sort of rating, going from 0.00 to 1.00?

Looks very promising, i'll just wait for some comments and I probably buy it too.

I wonder how much the plus package will cost

psu fan is just standard
cpu fan is lowered to 7v using the 7v trick (red and yellow wire)
the rear exhaust fan is at 5v using the trick and lowered some more by using an old volcano7+ switch i had lying around...

yeah i'm thinking about doing that. But the problem is that i can hear the motor of the panaflo spin, but i'll try it.

Would it be a good idea to lower the PSU fan speed to say, something like 10v? Or will it overheat to easily? Anyone with experience with this psu?

you could get it even quieter by replacing the Northbridge fan because the one that's on right now is quite loud (to my ears) and I dont know a thing about the stock AMD heatsink and fan but I actually dont think its really quiet...

if you're sure you have everything backed up you'll need later on you should just delete the partition, then create a new one, then format this partition

note: the installation procedure will take you through every step I mentioned here.
