A quick search on Newegg yielded many many enclosures that are eSATA. Some for as little as ~$17!! Why exactly should we feel compelled to purchase this particular product? And I did see at least ONE that is specifically for 2.5" drives...

Well Megaman, thanks again for your enlightening comments. Oh and thanks for the oversimplifications... at the present moment, I have no need to learn about.... ummm... all that stuff. I guess that if the prospect of clockless processors was as great as I had imagined, they'd already be on the marke...

Megaman, Mellon... thanks for your replies! I really appreciate that you took the time. It finally makes sense why we haven't (and probably won't) see clockless processors for us anytime in the future. As for the problem of heat, power draw and efficiency, do you have any idea how much of the heat i...

Clockless processors... why haven't we talked?
I did a search for "clockless" in our forums and found nothing. I also searched for "ARM processor" and some other things and couldn't find anything. Now I'm mentioning this because as I understand it, there are some significant benefits to clockless processors that we, as silencing enthusaists woul...

Well I, for one, have no warnings for you about RAID0. This is because I have no experience with it, and probably know about as much about it as you do. I was surprised to hear the comment that striped arrays are proprietary to their controllers: You may very well be locked into your motherboard. Is...

Bomb ass review. I love long reviews of good products. I also love my P180! :D But honestly I had to skim it right now, I'll read it all later. Right now I need to sleep. I also need to figure out why you called the VGA duct "noisy". I'm using it without any ill effects. But I also expanded it a bit...

w00dy, art4242 - you guys have your PSU's mounted upside down or rightside up? The way I was imagining it, I figured that if you mounted it upside down, then you'd get a bit more length for all your power cables. Plus if you had a 120mm PSU (like Super Tornado or S12), then the fan would be drawing ...

m002a, I'm having trouble visualizing what you just said. You said you have it pulling air up right into your exhaust fan, but aren't the options either (UP) away from the MOBO/towards the side of the case, or (DOWN) towards the MOBO/away from the side of the case? Maybe you should post a pic. :D -PS

Yeah I would just do my standard component test if I were you, which is mainly based on ease of application: 1. First try some different RAM, if you have any compatible stuff. If you don't then maybe you could borrow some from a friend. 2. If RAM tests yield no results, then that's not causing the p...

What makes me mad is that they may have switched the drive to the new, faster interface (SATA II), but they may not have (in fact I seriously doubt that they) made the drive itself any faster. So the switch to the new faster interface actually provides no benefit. Or at least that's my understanding...

Worst case scenario: you install it and find it too loud. THEN you could void the warranty and replace the fan. But I suspect that if Mike says it's darn quiet and even the most discerning ears can't really tell the difference between the Adda and YL fans, then I would tend to believe that the new m...

And by memory, I mean RAM  like I'd be talking about anything else on a computer forum. So here's my question. Lazy... there are a number of posts about which is better: positive air pressure or negative air pressure. I do see your point about expelling hot air from the top, but many people tend to feel that having more intake than exhaust (i.e. positive air pressure) aids in reducing dust in their case. My ...

Regarding the "hub cap" thing: This article discusses air conditioner fans, but has some ideas that might be applied to smaller ones.
