Re: Bigadv program announcement

the funny thing is, this might actually make me more likely to by an AMD 8 core processor. much less of a big advantage due to bigadv folding.

I keep getting these, but I can't upload them to the server. It actually finishes the WU. Got 7 in queue to upload so far.

Go figure.

Looks like it is going to take about 2 weeks until things to settle back to normal based on that forum link.

Re: SPCR Folds Team Blog

A couple of my folding boxes were offline for a while as I changed one of my job sites. Finally getting them back up, but I had to threaten IT to do it. I am now an administrator on my desktops at work, thank goodness. Hopefully, the production will improve shortly. With the point change, though, wh...

Re: Stopped getting bigadv WUs. Is it me?

it's not just you. I have been getting nothing but standard work units for the last number of days. I'm not really sure that I have gotten a big advance work unit yet. I think it really STINKS since I just dumped $500 into a new 2600 K. and mother board setup for folding.

Well, such is life.

Does anyone have experience with GTX560s? I'm kinda interested in this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125369 Yeah, I have two of these in a box with an i7 860 and they are getting from 1200-1500 ppd each, depending on the work unit. They run quietly, can't hear them o...

This thread isn't dead. No problems on my GTX 260 in a while. Changed one of my boxes to a Asus P5N-D (socket 775 with nvidia chipset, sli capable) and now have 2 9800GT EE cards with accelero coolers on them folding along with a Q9550 at stock. Nvidia drivers are 197.45. Riva Tuner can't seem to fo...

For low power and folding power, I've used the low-power editions of the 9800GT. Don't need a supplemental power cable. Another option is a GTS 250. Couple either one of those with an Accelero S1 and it'll be quiet.
