Re: MikeC's Audio Craft: An Introduction

Very nice writeup about the Orion! I like your design choices like the elongated curves and the black baffle.

Just one error, the midrange driver is from SEAS, specifically the W22EX001, not Scan-Speak.

I got a quick reply from Hilbert at Guru3D who confirmed that "fan turn off at idle" was indeed a copy error in the review template. He has now corrected all the reviews and he is sorry for the confusion.

Re: GTX 750Ti sips power

Did you try the Silent Mode? Yes, it didn't make any difference. I think Guru3D have been in a bit of a hurry to get the reviews out and some copy/paste errors have got in there somehow. I've emailed Guru3D editor about it, let's hope he answers. Thanks lodestar for trying out Kepler bios tweaker. ...

Re: GTX 750Ti sips power

Alright, so this is my first impressions of the MSI 750Ti Gaming (N750Ti-TF-2GD5/OC) - First thing I saw when unpacking is that this card is much larger than the Gigabyte, infact 6cm longer. That includes both the heatsink and PCB. The chip itself is placed further away from the bracket, something t...

Re: GTX 750Ti sips power

Hi, I got the Gigabyte GTX 750 TI (GV-N75TOC-2GI) because it had the connectors I wanted and heatsink with heatpipe. Have you meant PCIe connector or different fan connector? I read it as "video outputs", since the GB card has 2xDVI and 2xHDMI . MSI for example only has 1/1/1. The PCI-E power conne...

Ok, so I could not resist buying on of these cards since it sets the new bar for power efficiency. I got the Gigabyte GTX 750 TI (GV-N75TOC-2GI) because it had the connectors I wanted and heatsink with heatpipe. I installed latest nvidia drivers (334.89) and the OC Guru II. Re: GTX 750Ti sips power

An interesting line from Guru3D's MSI GTX 750 Ti Gaming review: The idle results are brilliant, the fan will even turn itself off when the GPU idles. Guru3D is saying the same thing about all the 750TI cards it tested (Gigabyte, Palit and MSI) including the Nvidia reference card. I hope this truly ...

Thanks for the update, this thread saved me from starting a new one as you were asking the exact same things that I was wondering about. Very nice article!

Figure 6 does not link to a larger version of the graph like the others.

And the recommended PSU list hasn't been updated since February, many PSU reviews since then. It would be nice to see them added to the list.

Re: In Win BUC ATX Tower Case

Thanks for the review. I think you misunderstood the use of the storage tray. It's not primarily for storing keys and coins but for holding a portable usb drive. That's why the usb port is there. I think it's a good idea because my portable usb drives end up laying on the floor either in front of or...

- There is no universally agreed on standard for what 0dBFS means in terms of voltage. - The 0dBFS = +6dBV (+2Vrms) "CD" standard that you mention has been informally adopted by most consumer level devices that output via RCA jacks. - The "reference" line level of -10 dBV is essentially meaningless...

As a side note, I don't think we should consider the Xonar "pro" audio equipment; it seems pretty consumer oriented to me, and I would expect it to interface with equipment that is not up to pro standards. Agree. - This means that the maximum possible *peak* voltage should be +13dBV, based on the k...

Thank you for reviewing audio products on silentpcreview, but this time I strongly disagree with your conclusion "Extremely high output level". Which MB supports overclocking with speedstep?

Hi all, I'm looking at getting a new motherboard to go with an E8500. I would like to do some light overclocking to use the potential of this CPU. However I would not do it if it meant turning off EIST. After some extensive googling I can not figure out for sure which motherboards support this or no...

Too bad it can't be run fanless in stock c...
