Fastest passive Nvidia GeForce?
Can anyone let me know what is the fastest passive Nvidia GeForce card? From digging around it appears that there is nothing passive that is newer/faster than the Asus NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450. I appreciate that there are units like the 560 that could be modded but I would prefer off the shelf passive...

I don't agree at all. I was very disappointed with the case. From it's flawed design to it's weight to it's poor cooling. I ended up getting a Nine Hundred afterwards and was much happier. The revisions weren't an improvement at all either. The lower chamber is just a sheer joke to me. One has to w...

I have been using an IBM Enhanced Performance keyboard for 3 weeks and I am quite impressed. It is very much quieter than the Cherry 6000 it replaced. The key movement is reasonably positive with optimum travel and with the included wrist rest it is comfortable during periods of prolonged use. As I ...

Wintermute, suggest that you try opening up the air intake route first - it does make a significant improvement. The advantages are that you are using the existing large air filter, improving the airflow across the HDDs and reducing dust ingress around/into optical drives, all without using any addi...

A few months ago I fitted Standard Acoustipak to my Sonata. It cost 31 UKP including delivery compared to the current price of 39 UKP from Kustom for the Sonata kit. It was a pig to fit in difficult to get at places but I managed to get some sections in behind the drive cages, psu and mb. I installe...

Tom, you could improve the airflow further by removing one or two of the horizontal slats from the inner plastic bezel as suggested by Mike. I have modded my case this way and the improvement is noticeable. As a matter of interest after I had carried out the modification I ran a check to see what wo...

I am not sure that it does make more sense than modifying the bezel, unless you are not concerned with HDD cooling. If the hole was below the HDD cage the airflow would impinge on the underside of the lowest drive only whereas by modifying the bezel improved airflow passes across/between more than t...

I have recently installed AcoustiPak Standard in a Sonata - not a particularly easy job but it has made a noticeable improvement. I looked at the deluxe version but decided that the 17mm contoured sheet and the foam blocks for unused drive slots would not be of much practical use. I see that Acousti...
