Re: Windows 7 or 8 or 8.1

I have found that in 8 Win+D is the command to remember. It will instantly get you to desktop and desktop mode is good. Great even. After going through the pains of win8 at work (I hated it!), I bought a comp with 7 at home. I was very surprised to find the win7-machine lacking, despite faster hardw...

Re: Is it ok to ask here question from other forum?

That shouldn't be that difficult these days. I did it 5 years ago with a PicoPSU, an SSD, Speedfan to control the fans and a AMD 89W TDP CPU. And today Intel usually do not get to the rated TDP, and with speedstep and some undervolting you should not have any issues. Make sure to find a semi-fanless...

I'm running a AMD 4200+ 89W TDP chip off of a 120W Pico. Integrated 780G gfx, but it is a Live Diva board, so I'm running the amplifier board off of the Pico as well. Averaging 80-90W when playing SC2 :) I've not even had the decensy to undervolt the CPU atm, as I need to reinstall Windows soon anyw...

As a married man, I can only say, go with WAF:) It will be a bit more expensive and probably have a higher power draw (there is that extra molex on the amp card, after all), but you love to tinker with new and exiting hardware anyways and extra WAF is never a bad thing. So don't think of those extra...

For a CPU to work passive you need a big heatsink and not more than 20W at load. I don't agree. Sure, you need a large heatsink designed with passive use in mind (like the Ninja 2), but you can cool a far more powerhungry CPU than 20W. I cool my 89W X2 4200+ using no fan what so ever (0 case fans +...

I found the movie rather unsettling in a rather lot of ways... Actually it's on the other end. I recently evaluated a college class. I remarked that we had this wonderful 350 page book. Have you tried ducting? If you have two open slots between the cards you could create a cardboard duct creating an airpath between the heatsink and the outside of the case pushing the heat directly outside and create a duct for cool air to the fan. Unless you have 10+ or so harddrives in that case you'd get even remotely close to 300W with that set up. The PSU tanked because of the PSU, not the power draw of the computer.
