why convert that energy to heat?
why not into motion or something?
someone mentioned that switched power supplies differ voltages by pulsing. can you do that to make 24->12? does it help that its already dc to begin with? thanks.

i have two V's in a mirror array inside an iStyle case on the carpet floor. i cannot hear them. i hear the chipset fan more than i hear the hard drives.

uhm i dont think so

there are two of the drives. they work perfectly. they are fast and quiet and nice. they just run REALLY HOT. improved airflow has helped a lot, now i can touch them. i also rubber-banded an old piece of copper to the back of one and it seems to help a little bit too. but wtf? does anyone else have ...

hmmm

uhmm i dont know. i got them from seagate.com, buytape.seagate.com or whatever. is that OEM? i thought it was their 'retail site' or something. well whatever. things are so small nowdays you cant even just solder a bunch of crap together and have it work.

is it just me or are alot of people having problems with the epia-m boards? ive been reading viaarena.com trying to figure out why mine started pouring smoke out when i used DDR333 RAM in the slot. it says use DDR266 but my ddr266 didnt let it boot.

they werent changed for bsd

the VIA .c and .h files for linux compile without changes under bsd.
the only change needed was to use a different makefile.
