How high-power a system are you considering running in your Minuet? I ask, because if the power draw is pretty low, you could get away with a quiet standard-sized 80mm exhaust fan in place of the stock Tri-Cool, and just take the lid off the PSU. That is exactly what I have done in one system of min...

Let me start by saying that I hate advertising. Almost nothing truly good ever comes one's way via advertisin...

Some effort is required to run Windows 7 on a drive of this size, but it is at least possible. I really don't think it requires effort to run Win7 on a 30GB drive. I've never noticed such a noise. The loudest part of my system is a Samsung HD501LJ by a nose over the WD, so I doubt there is anything masking this supposed head-park noise. Now I remember an old 180GXP that had a serious head-park noise!

I wouldn't say my fan made a loud rattle, it was more like soft chattering sound. I didn't remove the support bar, I did have to have someone else pull out on it (there is some give to the piece), while I guided the mobo into place. I didn't have to do anything to the rivets, just a simple tug on the bar at the right place and time got the job done.
