of course u could go the ghetto option and stick a old pentium class heatsink on it, u can get them for very cheap at computer swap meets, I used thermal expoxy (artic silver thermal epoxy) to glue it on, or you can drill holes into the heatsink or use frag tape :)

The main problem with the ducting is that u'll have to find a setup that'll suit you using the right materials that will be easy to work with, I've seen ducts made out of cardboard, metal, and plastic that has been supported by a wireframe :), rusty did a lot of design into his in desk PC and it sho...

with your case building u need to focus on how you are going to get cool air into the case and hot air out of the case, most built quiet cases I've seen have a non-direct air path into the case, ie, the noise can't just go straight out it has to bounce round a bit.... also u might try to focus on th...

depends on what type of Geforce 3 it is, the faster geforce 3 series puts out a lot of heat, if u're trying to cool your Geforce 3 the Zalman ZM17Cu, i'd recommend a 80MM fan mounted at 90° angle to the Video card and running undervolted.... personaly though I'd recommend a Heatpipe cooler :)

good results from usage of the fan adapter there, in my experience with 60-80MM fan adapters they increase the temperatures of the heatsink for the cost of lower noise, this is because there is lower back pressure being pushed from the blades of the slower spinning fan, and the air get's crammed thr...
