Re: SilverStone RVZ01: Mini Raven Case

The included round rubber feet didn't elevate the case much, making it more difficult for both the Scythe fan and the power supply to draw cool air into the case.
Would the horizontal orientation perform better with bigger rubber feet, to give the intakes more breathing room?

WD's telling the truth (although it could be clearer). It's the "many vendors" that are telling porkies. The 1TB GP is 5400rpm - but so what? It's about as fast as the Seagate - a bit slower than the Hitachi, but much quieter and cooler. If you're on this site because you like cool and quiet, you ha...

These days, the term 'virtualization' refers to emulating a computer in software. This allows you to run multiple operating systems concurrently on the same hardware. It does not appear that Userful is doing this. It's a Linux distribution with a neat hack that allows multiple keyboards and mice. Li...

Sonata headphone jack is reversed stereo?

I have a Sonata with the front panel hooked up to my Asus K8V SE's onboard sound via the 10-pin front panel audio connector. It turns out that with my configuration, the left headphone is connected to the right channel and vice versa. Annoying, especially as there's no reverse switch in the sound dr...

1 x 80 Gb Seagate 2M 7200 IDE (in removable drive tray - ghost OS/apps drives) 1 x 120 Gb Seagate 2M 7200 IDE (in removable drive tray - backup of storage drive) I'm not sure why these need to be separate drives. Note that a 5400rpm drive may be adequate for backup use. The Maxtors would seem to be...
