That's very good to hear. I guess they use an ATI chip for VIVO?

Just need to wait for them to release the AGP version then. Thanks.

A couple questions...

Anyone know when the AGP version will be available in the states? The Gigabyte site has it listed (model #GV-R80L256V) as "Coming Soon". Also, do you have to stick to the Gigabyte drivers if you want to keep the VIVO functionality or are there separate drivers for VIVO that can be used with whatever...

Check out the fan they list as the "stock fan" = Maker: Panaflo (Panasonic) Model: FBA12G12L1 A Compatability charts and more information will come out when mass production units leave the assembly line. Does this mean no tach output? Seems odd to me to provide a heatsink fan without RPM monitoring...

Before this turns into something similar to what happened with samsung drives, I have to say that I'm extremely happy with my noisetaker (it's the active PFC version) and there are others here who are in the same boat. No coil whine. It is quieter and runs cooler than my Zalman 400. When I turn the ...

Good to know it's possible. How big is that heatsink? Right now, I'm thinking something like this: http://2cooltek.safeshopper.com/67/155.htm?20 It's about the size of the stock heatsink but with fins where the fan inset was. Not sure if this is enough but it has the advantage of having a low profil...

Passively cooling old video card

While rotating parts in and out of machines, I found I had an old GeForce GTS 2 card (Elsa Gladiac, to be more specific) lying around. I plugged it into one of my machines and found the fan to be annoyingly loud. Is it possible to passively cool this thing with the stock heatsink by just unplugging ...

HDD silencer with fan mount at SVC

Anyone seen/used this? http://store.yahoo.com/svcompucycle/hddsil-22.html I've hesitated to use any silencing techniques that would result in having to stick my HD in a 5" bay because it would lose being in the airstream of the intake fans for cooling. This one has a cut out and screw holes to mount...

Still doing well with it. I have not experienced it ramping up at all even under full load. RPM's are almost always at 800-900. Yeah, I'm considering using a duct now. I only have one rear exhaust but it didn't seem to be doing much in that capacity so I can afford to lose it (most of the heat seems to be exhausted by the PSU and blowhole).

So, where can I find that sunbeam duct?

Sorry if this has been discussed before but I couldn't find anything specific to this. It makes the PSU a little "greener", is all, it should not affect the workings. MikeC / Ralf - any corrections on this part?
