I don't think they do, but I'd also be really happy if I'm wrong.
How'd that email go? I know they used to stock Noisemagic Fleece, but they stopped importing it becuase it was too expensive. They're new replacement is only 5mm thick and a lot cheaper. I haven't tried it though, so it might work.

My Athlon XP 2400+ on an ECS K7S5A mobo used to die (powerdown pc) because my room is so warm (whatever temp it is outside, same inside... great for winter, horrible for Aussie summer.) Pre Zalman 7000A-Cu hsf: - idle 42-ish - Full load 60 something... crashtastic. Post Zalman 7000A-Cu hsf: - idle 3...

I just bought Zalman's CNPS 7000A-Cu hsf and while it's extremely heavy, it works a treat. Since I don't have air-conditioning and live in Australia I was fearing this xmas (last year I couldn't turn my AthlonXP 1400+ on for a month or so around xmas... it would just overheat) Anyway, something I'd ...

my seagate cuda 4 has 43% too but my WD noiseriffic caviar 120g has 85%. But i don't know what that means. I've had the cuda for over a year, and the wd for a month or 2.

After reading the dans-data review halfway, I came up with an idea... I have no idea how safe it might be. The harddrive suspension that Mike C lists in the best category, using cheap elastic material could be improved upon. Unless I'm wrong then the main downside to decoupling your HDD's this way i...

i found some old skateboard bolts of various random sizes from my mid teens that are long enough to mount the fan properly so i'll try it tomorrow. It's kinda funny that I can't 'silence' my case now because the process would wake my house-mates up.

I tried the sonata spare 'rubber nipples' to separate the fan from the case but they were too flimsy and you just mentioned the fans weight.
Hardware store trip pending.

Well now I've gotta make a trip to the hardware store to get the right size screws because i want to use some siliceous sheeting in between the fan and case and the 6mm screws just don't seem to cut it. Even without that bit in between, the screws don't really grip... and i don't want the fan flappi...

Did anyone else have trouble fitting this fan to their sonata with the extra short screws that came with it? The screws that came with it are about 6mm long and the fan is 25mm thick... or did i get some kind of mis-pack? (It looked retail enough for me).

my theory is that the guys who make the 'chassis' of the case and the art guys who make the 'body' don't really get together on the project, but rather work to a list of specifications... ie, it has to have some air intake at the front, be strong / lite, look nice, etc. just a theory i'm chucking up...
