yep i tried an interesting method today actually. Get a standard bic biro pen, remove the inner ink tube and use that. Basically push it over the molex male pin and when pushed down hard will go over the 2 latches and push them in, easily removing the pin from the connector.

Yeah, the size/shape/weight and location of the pump make it very akward to elasticaly suspend, otherwise i would have already. I think ill look for those rubber mounting feet things.

There are two mounting kits for the Eheim pump; one simple grommets and the other a bobbin type isolator. The latter is excellent. Where would i get them from? Its very very difficult to suspend a wc pump because of its akward size/shape/weight... and its attached to a big pipe. also most pump loca...

Re: HDD vibration reducing methods - ranked

Best - My original soft elastic suspension – using stretchy elastic from a sewing shop. Yep i agree! Ive done it too! Lithium, 5v the 120mm fan by relocating the molex wires on it. Also 7v the 80mm fans if you havent already done so by doing the molex thng as well. That should help alot.

Ok heres my setup, i got a few of my mates round to help show how watercooling is quiet. http://www.trialsworks.com/joesstuff/quiet.JPG As you can see, the processor instead of being cooled by a small copper heatsink is instead indirectly cooled by a huge radiator which has much more surface area, t...

I dont know about surface area but there are many good ideas on www.procooling.com forums as those guys are watercooling experts. For taht price its definately not worth the money, i use a heatercore with a 120mm fan blowing air across it set at 4.5V (rheo) and its capable of cooling a heavily overc...

ehehe elastic from wollies rox! its the most perfect thing to use, thought of thin bungee cord but its not suitable, too thick! You'll notice the special 90 degree molex connectors, i got those imported from america, theyre uber. I DO like those. Would work quite nicely in one of my projects. I'll h...

That T is really harming your flowrate. You would be better having the fill/bleed run off the 90 degree turn and the flow going straight along the top of the T here Yeah i know, people always point that out. However i prefer more a setup for neatness over cooling, and i'd hardly say 40 Deg C full l...

You have the output of the pump going to a T where it has to take a 90 degree turn? How is the rad attached? It looks like it's just kinda resting there. Can you not attach the rad's 120mm to the front intake? Yeah the T is where it takes a 90 degree turn. The rad isnt attached to anything, it sits...

ive asked zalman direct about this, apparently it'll cool upto the latest ati radeon 9600XT unaided (w/o fans)

however all geforce cards are renowned to run alot hotter so you'll need a fan.
