Searching around I see prime95, orthos, cpuburn and occt mentioned for CPU stress testing, and atitool and furmark mentioned for GPU testing. Anyone got any opinions on these items of software? Being lazy, I was hoping to not have to download and research how to use several different items of softwa...

Software for stress testing CPU and GPU

I'd like to run my CPU and GPU (both separately and together) at 100% to test them. Specifically my goal is to measure the maximum power requirements at the wall with a kill-a-watt, although I assume the software needed is the same when stress testing for other reasons. Can anyone recommend software...

Thanks, now I understand better. In that case I'll try one of the Xigmatek I7361 or I7363 models, just in case I ever want to use it with a Socket 1366 in future, and so that I can use a wrench to tighten the screws if necessary with different HSFs.

Understood. The only problem is I can't find the ACK-I7751 from my usual supplier - http://www.scan.co.uk/. They have ACK-I7753 though - will that work? They also have ACK-I7361 and ACK-I7363.

Exactly which bolt-thru kit for Scythe Mini Ninja?

I have a Scythe Mini Ninja for Socket 775 (specifically, http://www.scan.co.uk/Product.aspx?WebProductId=657369 ). Although I had read previously how bad push pins were, I didn't quite believe it until the HSF fell off within a couple of days of putting it on! So, I require a bolt-thru kit, I believ...

I've got that motherboard (from within UK) and it definitely does come with the com port bracket. To use lm-sensors in Ubuntu you need to get the package, run sensors-detect from a command prompt, say Yes to everything. You can then use something like GkrellM or the Gnome Sensors Applet to view the ...

I agree with jaganath and I have a setup just as he describes (actually, I could only go down to 0.9V at 800MHz, using an ASRock ALiveNF6G-DVI mATX motherboard). From what I could gather, mobile Semprons just weren't the hassle - not many motherboards support them and the chips are hard to find.

I agree with all that was written above. Undervolting AM2 Sempron 3200+ - not all multipliers work

I've just started experimenting with undervolting for the first time. I have a Socket AM2 Sempron 3200+ in an ASRock ALiveNF6G-DVI motherboard, which lets me adjust the multiplier and the voltage independently (I can probably adjust the frequency too but I've not fiddled with that). The normal multi...
