There are 3.5mm sockets for use in cases etc, for example I found one at Maplin (UK electronics/electrics shop) after 4 min googling http://www.maplin.co.uk/products/module.asp?CartID=031014163917308&moduleno=1189&Products=1 ... So drill a hole, mount this. wire it through the case out and onto your...

ashtray_head and MrMajestic - In the end I didn't go for the 6070 case for a few reasons; - price, the lower price of the 3700BQE I got allowed me an extra HDD - airflow, I was worried that airflow wouldn't be enough and too insecure in my modding skills to attempt the above mod - case material, IM...

Just wanted to let you know that Ive had no problems whatsoever popping out the rubber case fan mounts and refitting them to different fans (tried the stock fan, then an old no-name (yech!) and now they're on my Papst 4212 L). With a bit of care as Ralf mentioned there should be no problems reusing ...

I'm also thinking about the ATC-710 case and wonder how you guys mount your fans in the case?

Do you use the included fan clips?

If not why not?

Also, if not, how did you mount them to the case (there don't seem to be standard screwholes, only those for the clips)?

cheers,

tool-less designs good for silence?

I'm still trying to decide on a case (looking at the CoolerMaster ATCS-710, LianLi PC6070, Antec3700AMB/BQE/Sonata and FongKai 330), and started wondering about the new case designs and the focus on screwless designs: The question is : surely using drive rails for 5.25" devices, clips for PCI cards ...

Tjena TobiWan,

Any direct experience with the 3500 out there?

Anyone know where I can get the Seasonic Super Silencer 400 (the proper SS400-AGX version, not kool'n'quiet's SS-400FS version) in the UK?

Opinions on Nexus NX3500 PSU?

Hiya, I'm looking at trying to find a Seasonic Super Silencer 400 PSU in the UK, but now also found this Nexus NX3500 . Thanks for the input Bluefront! I'm gonna give the PC 6070 a try, and start with the 2x80mm holes in the rear and the hole + filter in the floor, then maybe add a muffler to the intake, and only if my HDD temps need it a fan to said muffler. I think (hope!) this case is gonna work out. I'm planning ...

I agree on the rear ventilation - but as mentioned above I plan to punch out the existing grill and cut a hole for a new one below it - giving me space for two nice and quiet papst or panaflo fans.
