Fan recommendations for a Thermalright XP-120

Planning on buying a Thermalright XP-120 for an Athlon 64 3700+. I do not plan on overclocking. Please let me know what 120mm fan you would suggest?

Thanks!

Fan recommendations for Thermalright SP97

I am planning on purchasing a Thermalright SP97 heatsink and it support 92mm fans. I'd appreciate recommendations for reliable 92mm fans. I plan on putting this on my Athlon XP 2400+. I run everything stock and don't overclock. I'd prefer a quieter fan, but it is more important to me that the fan pr...

My system

Ralf, Good point about the system. Here it is... Asus A7N266-E Athlon XP 2800 Western Digital 120 GB Lite-On burner Toshiba DVD Player Nvidia 5900 Ultra I am not an overclocker. The case is an Addtronics full size tower and it has great airflow design. It's just simply way too loud. Thanks... Chris

Fans

SebRad,

Thanks for your reply. I live in the California within the United States. I'll probably upgrade my heatsink so that I could use an 80 or 90mm fan. Any suggestions if I got that route?

Thanks,

Chris

Controller and fan Questions - Please help

After much reading I have decided to purchase the Zalman ZM-MFC1. I see a lot of talk about using this fan controller on 90, 80, and 60 mm fans. I want to make sure that I won't blow anything up! Here are the fans that I wish to control with the fan controller... Question 1) I have two 120 mm fans a...

This sound good?

Okay, after reading all these posts and salivating over some of the cool fan controllers I decided to buy something really cool. I am thinking of getting the VANTEC NXP-305 NEXUS FAN & LIGHT CONTROLLER or the VANTEC NEXUS 3.5" MULTI-FAN CONTROLLER. I'd prefer to control up to 4 fans. The NXP-305 onl...

Recommendations for quite fan to attach to my SK-6 Heatsink

Hi, I am running an Anthlon 1.46 GHz XP. No components are overclocked and the system is fairly well ventilated. I have a YS Tech fan right now cooling my Thermalright SK-6 Heat Sink. It's loud and whinny. The heatsink supports both 60x60x25 and 60x60x38. I'd appreciate any recommendations for quite...

Next Step

Thanks to everyone for helping. Sorry for the delay in posting but I've been working about 70+ hours per week and the free time has been spent preparing for the holidays. The fan controllers seem like great options. However, I only have two 5 and 1/4" drive bays and both are taken :( As far as my co...

Please help a newbie for the Holidays :)

I've been lurking for some time hoping to reduce the noise from my case. I have several fans that are giving me splitting headaches that I have been planning to replace. I have to say that I am a bit overwhelmed by the amount of content on the topic of quite fans. Some of this is conflicting as well...
