I wonder, if MSI is serious about the impossibility of replacing the used cooler with 3rd party one on GTX 960. In short, I wonder, why replacing the cooler will seems to void my warranty, as the screw that is holding the heatsink over the GPU got the " Warranty void if removed " sticker by MSI on m...

Re: Suggestions for mid power QUIET gaming PC
If you slap those "thing" on 960, I think it will just do fine on passive. Some mfg should make 950/960 passive sooner or later. Well, the GTX 950 have just a puny 90W one, while 960 is 120W one power-source wise. Therefore I doubt that I could go passive... Think about several hours of gaming, mat...

Well, as for CPU, I meant that a 22nm i7-4790K might be with 88W TDP a good idea... but since I did not need the HyperThreading (4 cores, 8 threads) and the IGP, then I wonder, if I can get lower TDP CPU with similar CPU power, capable or running at 4GHz w/o too much voltage? Yep, that is easy, when the heatsink has exchangable parts AND you have the holes near socket. Then it is a piece of cake. I have, hoever, different situation. Maybe on multicore systems this can happen, but I tested several times memtest and find it to be very light in terms of stress for the rams. Anyone can test that. edh - well, I would prefer not go fanless, because the case will be fanless, so the card will cook that way. Also, there is not much space near the GPU, witch is a limit. I could probably cut chunk of the heatsink off, but that would just look ughly... SebRad - Zalman VF-700-cu looks good and I can...
